 *LINKED TOGETHER HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

This season has been so much fun and fed my need for more Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang content, but these last two episodes were just SO well acted -- I was sucked into the content and the moments of these!

Now for the wait until Season 3 of the donghua!
Thanks to Raky for getting me these episodes and let me know what you thought of the season as a whole!

This was such a fun season! Yesss, that connection to season 1 and it all tying back to family was sooooo good! I love the connections and *dark laugh* Well….uhm….I can’t say LG hasn’t gone to those extremes after what they’ve hinted at in Season 2 but it’s safe to say if LG did go to that extreme, he is torn about it, whereas He Xu was welcoming the “world changing!” And YES! CX being himself and proving that he’s courageous and that his empathy was powerful and won LG over, whereas He Xu considered it still a weakness – it just made the LG x CX bond even bettttter! And yessss, He Xu getting what was coming to him and the irony of it all was sooooo well done! I really did enjoy this series! I honestly love how down to earth it was and the cast was just so perfect! I really wish more would people would have watched this! The wig as the fake out with the hair reveal was so great – I was waiting for it to all come out and for it to be THAT way was just…kudos, show, kudos! AND THE OP USAGE! It had been so long since season 1 that i wasn’t expecting it but that and them with their donghua outfits was a lovely *chef’s kiss* moment! Lu Guang and his microexpressions were AMAZING – I honestly would rewatch the whole series to watch his expressions again! And the “date” playing mahjong?! LOOOOOVEEE! Honestly, I agree, as much as I want to be greedy and get more, you’re right that this series does exactly what it’s supposed to do - and it ties perfectly to season 1 so I can’t complain either! It’s such a good adaptation and I definitely agree that it’s a “must see” for anyone that’s a fan of Link Click! While I am sad we have some months before season 3, it definitely has renewed my interest in the series and I’ll be excited to rewatch seasons 1 and 2 beforehand! Thank you for following along with me and for the kind words and comment!

I agree, this season finale was *amazing*, and I enjoyed it a ton. Honestly, I loved that it was sort of intimate, as it was about He Xu saving his sister, as it ties well with the themes of the show AND season 1 of the donghua. The parallels between He Xu and Lu Guang are great! Both of them trying to save someone they love by disobeying the rules of time travel and all; though I do think, though I suppose I can't be sure, that LG has not gone to the extremes that He Xu has. As for the ending of He Xu's story, I liked that CX "won" by being himself, honest and earnest and just providing the empathy that He Chang needed at the moment to make her decision. Gotta be honest, I laughed a lot when He Xu, upon realizing that he didn't manage to prevent his sister's death, AFTER he has belittled CX immensely and mocked him as well as LG proceeds to *shamelessly and persistently* beg them for help. Just, the irony of it and the gall was pretty amusing. Yeah, no, I'm going to miss this series a lot T_T I want more episodes of them just living life together and going on simple missions to help others. As you mentioned, the actors did such a good job embodying the characters that they felt perfectly like them, and now that we won't have them, it just feels like a loss. LG having being using a wig all this time is HILARIOUS. Especially because CX suspected all along and was just waiting for LG to mention something. It took me a second to get used to the white wig, though, but, yeah, he does pull it off really well. HOW DARE THIS SHOW HAVE THE OP PLAYING RIGHT AT THE END?! That was the perfect homage. Especially with all of them in their donghua outfits. Do I even need to mention LG's microexpressions at this point? Probably not because I've done so every week, but I will, because they are just that good. HIS EXPRESSIONS RIGHT AT THE END WHEN THEY ARE PLAYING MAHJONG LIVE ESPECIALLY RENT FREE IN MY HEART. While I would LOVE a second season of this show, I also think that it might ruin what they have accomplished here, so I'm more than happy with this being the end of it. Plus, it just ties in so well with season 1 of the donghua that I can't complain. I agree that this is one of the best adaptations I've seen to date, and that makes me very happy. While this is not a required viewing experience for LC fans, I do think it goes very well with the donghua and is a nice treat for fans. Now, I guess we won't see more LC for a few months T_T I will miss this show so much... though you are making me sort of want to rewatch season 1 as well.
