This season is not slowing down, as we immediately start into the first round of the third selection -- and Isagi is front and center! But he's not the only flashy ones on the field and can he stand out so he's not eliminated?!
This episode had some neon realness and lots of moments that are making me fall for some of these new characters already! LET'S GO!

I had so much fun this episode! I am loving the design of Season 2 so far as well! Ego is such a splurger and maybe…not the best investor in money? Anri, girl, I hope you love him for more than his business management strategies! 😛 I like that we at least get Isagi through this first round, however it may end! It definitely feels intentional to not give Team A much of an advantage and work them into overdrive - it feels intentional for sure! I agree with you, though! I felt by the end he got to the “subjugating” parts and then we have to wait until next week to see where that leads us! Tabito definitely reminds me of Kuroo as well – does that make Eita Kenma? 😛And YES, Ryusei is super intriguing but a team player he is NOT, so unless he gets that under control, he could be one that Ego talked about as falling out of the competition. I guess we’ll see. Isagi is a secret MONSTER, too, because he can be so polite but then immediately dive down the cannibalism rabbit hole. I agree; I have no idea how the “end” of this match is going to be, but I’m excited to see it go down! Thank you for the comment and kind words!

2024-10-18 02:12:35 +0000 UTCWell, this episode was a ton of fun XD The first thing I thought about when Ego gave them all those uniforms was "the budget for this place is insane, how does he pull it off?" because he doesn't just have *yet more new uniforms* but they also rise from a hidden platform in the floor... it's insane *lol* I agree, it's nice that we have Isagi in the very first group of contestants. Look, it's cool that team A gets more opportunities to show off because they play more games, that's good for them, I suppose; BUT, considering that they, apparently, only have *6 hours* to rest between each game, to eat and sleep and cool off, presumably, it's also a huge disadvantage, I imagine. I mean, they would be pretty tired by the end of it without proper rest... or maybe not, I'm no athlete to actually know, but I don't think that's quite enough time. One thing that sort of worries me, and I noticed it in the previous episode as well, is that Isagi seems very focus on the assertion and cooperation sides of this Selection but never seems to mention the subjugating part. We know Isagi is capable of it, he did it to Barou, and he notoriously *devours* his opponents, but it worries me some for his chances that he hasn't acknowledged it yet. This might be way off, but Tabito reminds me of Kuroo from Haikyuu so much *lol* Like, they're definitely pretty different as well, but the cunningness of him and his features have me thinking of Kuroo all the time. I am LOVING the new art style. I think the slowing down when they are asserting themselves/using their weapons and the riot of color is very visually appealing, and the way it's so overpowering visually works well with the feeling that, at that moment, that character is the most dangerous person on the field, and you need to pay attention. Ryuusei is so interesting! BUT, can he do teamwork? I think he is forgetting that Ego is trying to make a team out of all of them, and that means that even is he is Number Two out of all of them, he needs to be able to gel with the others or this won't work. Maybe Isagi can make him do it, as he did with Barou, but that is what worries me about Ryuusei's character. What I liked about the Nanase, Hiroi, Isagi trio is that, yes, Isagi can be very nice and polite - as the additional time made plenty clear - but he can also go ball to the walls intense and demanding if he wants. He is not all one thing, and, yeah, maybe that's why Ego, as you mentioned, pays him more attention XD I have no clue who will win this match and what that'll mean for all the players involved, but I am HERE to find it.
