Scum Villain's Self-Saving System: Novel Chapters 69-71 Reaction!

*MISSION CRITICAL HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

Shen QingQiu thinks that Luo Binghe's moves have set everything up to unite the four sects to prepare for Tianlang-Jun's oncoming assault -- HOWEVER, who could have predicted that it would instead lead to everyone coming for Luo Binghe instead?!

The Jan Lan City incident hits a complete role reversal and as Shen QingQiu faces his first major "failure" with the System, how can one not feel both awful for Luo Binghe as well as terrified for what "punishment" awaits Shen QingQiu?!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

Thank you so much for the comment and kind words! I am glad I can bring a different perspective to the story, so I appreciate that! And YES, the fact that the system does this to show that it HAS consequences and isn’t playing around is a great point! And yes, he does have reason to follow the orders as well – but yeah, HOW he follows them is another matter, agreed.

Excellent video as always! I enjoyed the discussion of the feral fandom, as well as what’s happening with the system’s punishment. You talked about what the system punishment could mean in story, among others things, and brought up some things I hadn’t thought of much before, so thanks! Always fun to find new things to think about with a favorite series :D One thing that did occur to me is that the punishment serves a more practical storytelling purpose as well. We need this to happen at least once so the audience knows that the System’s threats aren’t empty, and that SY has good reason to follow the System’s orders. Whether he could have followed them in a more productive and less frustrating way is another matter, lol.

Yeah, he definitely lets SQQ get away with a lot and that's a great point from the beginning of the series and that he's been there since the start - I'll definitely come back and reference that later! :) So no worries! ^^ Thank you for the comment and kind words!

Oohhhhhh, interesting! Okay - I have heard of The Departed, but I haven't seen it yet! That's really cool, though! Thank you for the comment and kind words!

The Infernal Affairs is a 2002 Hong Kong action thriller film. The film follows an undercover Hong Kong Police Force officer who infiltrates a triad and another police officer who is secretly a spy for the same triad. You may be familiar with the US remake version 'The Departed'(2006). The film alongside its 2 sequels is so popular that it's now basically the pop-culture reference for 'spy and undercover story'

I want to say so much about YQY aaaaa, but yeah he sure is hard to read. Him favoring and being lenient with SQQ shows more and more. But we also saw subtle hints of it from the beginning, especially this scene when SQQ betting on LBH in volume 1: “Zhangmen-shixiong, you’ll be his guarantor?” Qi Qingqi butted in, getting right to the point. “I will,” said Yue Qingyuan. “If you lose, who pays?” Liu Qingge asked. “Me,” said Yue Qingyuan. “If I win, who keeps the payout?” asked Shen Qingqiu. “You,” said Yue Qingyuan." I think in the donghua they even added Qi Qingqi commenting "Bias" after hearing that.
