TRIGUN MAXIMUM: Volume 1 Reaction!

*HEROIC HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

We are BACK, y'all! And I was not prepared for Nightow to drop SO many good panels of our lads Vash and Wolfwood this volume!

He comes out swinging as Vash is recruited back by Wolfwood, and lo and behold...certain "dead" characters from last week may not be so deceased...but my fangirl self surely is from this volume! Let's GO!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

TRIGUN MAXIMUM: Volume 1 Reaction!

Comments

Thank you so much for the comment and kind words! I can admit, I can get a little "purist" with adaptation sometimes, but with Trigun, it feels like a different ballgame - maybe it's just the nature of the source material; I'm honestly not sure myself! But yes, the contrast with Vash and Wolfwood, I just love it! They are so iconic in their designs, chemistry, and moral differences and it's a delight to wach them bounce off one another on the page and screen! And yesss, that's such a cool note of Vash "coming back" and how on the page there are those subtle changes - I'm so excited for next week and volume 2! I hope you all enjoy!

Loved the review & discussion! Yes, getting to enjoy the various iterations of any work! πŸ₯° This is the main reason why I do not vibe with any manga or anime purism. The panelling looks slightly different – love it. Also, the contrast of Wolfwood and Vash is done so wonderfully in this volume. Wolfwood with the dark suit, dark hair, dark glasses, big dark eyes vs Vash, who is barely drawn as a few lines in some panels, the light shirt, light eyes and then sometimes light glasses which entirely obscure his eyes and make him seem even more β€˜transparent’. As Vash comes back to himself more and more, his form gains more shading/colour – starting with the darker hair, then the trousers and boots, etc, etc. Just a beautiful progression. Looking forward to the next volume! ❀️
