So, familiar faces are still alive and they are back with a vengeance! Milly and Meryl make cameos, but this volume was all about Wolfwood, Vash, and their trek back to "the village" of Vash's past...but this journey may end a wee bit differently than the '98 anime!

Ahhh thank you so much! Yessss, I really love when you can notice the influence of an artist! And oooh, that series sounds INTRIGUING! I can't wait! The Vash and Wolfwood confrontations were so sad! The art was gorgeous, but it definitely delivers a gut punch! Ahh, I can also agree on Stampede Wolfwood being similar to Desperado one! And yeah, I will definitely be doing a binge watch before Stargaze but I'm glad we have the manga to bide our time as well - it's definitely gotten me more and more excited for StarGaze when we get to it! And also seeing some other influences in Nightowβs work. I like hearing about the references people see in art like this. For me, I see a lot of another mangaka who is a few years older than Nightow and am looking forward to when you hopefully get to go through their works and how seeing Nightow βfirstβ will impact it! π₯° The Vash/Wolfwood 'confrontations' in the volume were rough β but the art was stunning, so much emotional tone and scratchy-looking pages in these chapters. To me the Wolfwood we see in #5 Desperado is the closest iteration to Stampede!Wolfwood β with the way he was veering violently between happiness and despair. I may need to add a rewatch of the original Trigun anime reactions to the schedule before Stargaze. π Looking forward to the next volume! β€οΈ
