There have been so many wonderful recommendations, but here are my picks for the new year - now, the question is: WHAT ARE THE FOUR I DO?

I wasn't sure if it was the first BL or not! I'm super excited - honestly, I know a lot of older BL may be "problematic," but I think that's an important conversation to have, so those I'm not afraid of - thanks for the comment! We'll see what makes the top four!

2024-11-19 12:54:01 +0000 UTCI wonder if people don't know Kaze to Ki no Uta is the first BL anime. Its art style is gorgeous, the story is full of darker themes...maybe it's too "problematic"? But then, Wolves, Maiden Rose, and Papa to Kiss in the Dark are plenty problematic and dark and weird, too. But that's what makes them interesting, IMO.
