It’s WILD that we’re getting a Multiverse in an MXTX story, but I’m not mad about it! 😀 SQQ definitely needs to give himself more credit than he has in this story, I agree. Hahahaha, your comment about LBH and trading places got me! That IS an interesting note about SY and his relationship with Bingge vs. Bingmei. I did feel for Bingge not getting a SY of his own. And a new ship, hahaha!! I agree, it’s sad that SY can’t tell LBH about transmigration, because I agree that it probably wouldn’t change anything, but it is sad because to us the audience it means a lot! I do agree a LQG and LBH get along shirt would be amazing! That is also interesting about the begging/cutesy part as well so thank you for telling me that! The note about “a high schooler’s version of consent” means a lot here as well - and SQH - *shakes fist at Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky* - at least if the “intimate” is like you said with kissing, that’s “okay,” but I wish SQQ had been more descriptive, haha! I really would love for them to explore more and communicate to find ways to be a better couple! If it helps, I’m going “in order” of MXTX’s original work, so next week will still be in the order the English translation has it, but from there, it’s going to skip around! I’m glad there’s no shame shipping LQG with SQQ because I really want to! And while it feels WEIRD to multi-ship in an MXTX story, I am starting to enjoy the concept; it just took some warming up to! And why not! But yes, I am glad with this set of chapters! Thanks again! 😀

I had a former friend that did what you were talking about to my best friend; they would ask her for advice and counseling all the time because she was a social work major, and my bff told me it was like they were treating her as a therapist and it quickly devolved the friendship to the point where my best friend was feeling more used than a friend, so I draw a lot from that. Like you said, it doesn’t have to be a romantic situation; it can happen with platonic friendships as well. I’m sorry you had to go through that as well; that sucks! 🙁 But I’m glad you’re putting yourself first and prioritizing healthy relationships. “Because no one could be mature enough to talk things out and solve the issues the Peaks had with LBH” - yes, exactly! I do agree they shouldn’t have put a blanket ban on the situation, especially if they suspect SQQ has that relationship with him and without trying to work with him. I also agree LQG seems like more of a “physical conversationist,” haha! But yes, NYY has grown on me! It’s so weird to see how she reacts to LBH compared to the OG and at the beginning of the series! I’m still curious about Sleeping Willow Flower, so we’ll see where that takes us! I do agree that at least for a few *weeks,* LBH hasn’t tried to be sexual with SQQ. You would THINK that’d be the bare minimum standard, there. I just can’t believe MXTX gave us a MULTIVERSE, but by the end of the chapter set, I was on board! At least it matches the feral energy of SVSSS, like the incense burner chapters do for MDZS. The Bing-suffixes all having those unique meanings is neat as well! And YES! SQQ using the leaves felt VERY Byakuya from Bleach! I love that reference! It makes me miss and be excited for the final arcs of Bleach! It was neat to see that the OGLBH is confirmed to not be happy with his harem, which I remember we talked about in the discussion earlier on in the series. I definitely feel the harem for OGLBH was a cover - after all, sexuality isn’t really a choice, but how you ARE, though we can speculate if OGLBH was bisexual or pansexual all we want, I suppose, since it is a multiverse. And yessss, I’ve had Haruki and Akihiko on the brain for a while as I think of BingQiu. It would be nice if we had SQQ send LBH away to give space and let LBH grow as a person, but ehhhh, I’m not seeing that at all yet. We shall see, I suppose. Thank you for the comment and kind words!

Luo Binghe’s healing abilities are well established I’m not sure why sqq forgot at that moment… I like to imagine Luo Binghe would’ve healed himself regardless even without the promise of activities. Or he just wanted to be fussed over a little bit more. I don’t know if sy can tell lbh about transmigration. Would it even be important? Besides the distinction between sy and SJ? I don’t think lbh would care beyond you came to this world to make my life better. Liu Qingge and Luo Binghe get along shirt! Honestly I love the crack pairing if bingliushen (it happened in one parallel universe in my mind) Yes the story also calls our Luo Binghe bingge you’re not mistaken it’s only now he’s been given this title SQQ saying if he begged a little more he would’ve given in. A lot of fandom has interpreted this to mean like Shen Yuan likes when Luo Binghe begs him. Whether it’s true is up to your interpretation. Like there’s this thing in both Korea and China that I can’t remember the name of but it means acting cute. Apparently people like it when their partners act cutesy. You had it right the first time. It’s Mei as in meimei (little sister). Said may. Weird to note but our Luo Binghe and the og Luo Binghe both have issues with consent and I think that’s issue comes from one) a high schoolers version of consent and two) Shang Qinghua also has a problem with consent made clear by his writing. SQQ points to several instances that the og Binghe has intercourse with woman that was less than consensual, literally his first time. The sqq makes the bold statement that no one would ever say no to Luo Binghe. Then in this chapter LBH attempts to sleep with him under a false identity. As for why our Luo Binghe has xin Mo it’s been two weeks idk. When sqq say they’ve been intimate I think flirting and kisses. Luo Binghe and OG Luo Binghe are a like in many ways they can never not have things in common. It’s just their paths diverged a long time ago and they’ve become “different” people.

2024-11-19 18:11:03 +0000 UTCThe blanket ban on LBH in this chapter made me think of MDZS, where LQR gets in a snit after Wangxian run off together and makes a bunch of rules for not interacting with WWX. Really loved your analysis for these chapters! Your criticisms are definitely valid, and I agree with what needs to happen for these two to gain a healthier relationship. I like to think that, now that the system and Xin Mo aren’t interfering, and they’re not in a state of constant crisis, that allows them to finally meet on more even ground and slowly figure out how to actually be a couple. Although, I don’t really know if that starts to happen with the next chapter or not. When I first read this extra I wasn’t in the mood for a spicy scene so I ended up skipping ahead to a different story, and now I realize I never actually got back to it. I guess the next chapter will be a surprise for both of us then! I really should try to read that before you post the next video 😅 No shame in shipping LQG with SQQ, plenty of others are into that ship too. No shame in being a multi shipper either, if you find yourself getting on board with LBH by the end. It’s only fitting that the story based off a harem novel should be able to launch a number of different ships, right? 😉 Glad you had fun with these chapters! I hope you enjoy the end to this one, and the other extras too!

2024-11-18 22:07:32 +0000 UTCThink I went to Reddit once for an anime discussion (to see if others had interpreted a scene the way I had) and, like you, decided "never again". Reddit fans are definitely a whole other breed 😅 For relationships and being a therapist I feel it should be considered for both romantic and platonic relationships/friendships. I was the "shoulder-to-cry-on friend" in high school, and helped my closest friends through some difficult times and thoughts (worries over possible pregnancy, miscarriage, abusive relationships, self harm, mental health diagnosis, and difficult pregnancy and labour to name a few). Unfortunately only one of my friends was continually there for me when I got sick, throughout my struggles to get a diagnosis and then trying to accept said diagnosis. And when I could no longer physically or mentally support them like I had been they didn't reach out to check how I was doing or invite me to any events they were planning. It was at that point I realised that I needed to put myself first and just break off any and all relationships that were like this because there was only give and no take; no equality like a healthy friendship should have. From then I've had a very firm belief, like you, that your friends and loved ones should be there to support you, but for anything else or deeper then you should seek help (in some cases professional help). The start of the chapter is definitely a little confusing considering where we left off in Volume 3 it was just Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu choosing to leave because no-one could be mature enough to talk things out and solve the issues the Peaks had with Luo Binghe. Now I do agree that Cang Qiong Sect shouldn't have put a blanket ban on Luo Binghe like that (especially with not informing Shen Qingqiu of said decision; bad move there Yue Qingyuan), but at the start of the chapter there wasn't any knowledge on the reader's or Shen Qingqiu's part that such a serious split had happened between them. I'd say neither Luo Binghe or Liu Qingge are conversationalists 🤣 Liu Qingge's way of communicating would probably be through physical means (which we do kinda see with how he just storms into Shen Qingqiu's home 😆). Ning Yingying definitely grows on you through the novel. But her shuddering at Luo Binghe addressing her so informally did make me giggle. You gotta love that Peak felt comfortable around Luo Binghe, whereas they chased off any of the other male sect members who visited their Peak. Also the author of the book Luo Binghe found, Sleeping Flower Among Willow, is the author of the Regret of Chunshan; that erotic novel starring Luo Binghe and his Shizun Shen Qingqiu 🤭 Like with the other extras in Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's other works, I'm unsure if I like not knowing how much time has passed until well into the extra story, with that information just being thrown out there like it's unnecessary information. I feel it is pretty important to know just how much time has passed since the end of the main story. I don't mind, though, slowly learning about how Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe's relationship has been these last few weeks. It also says a lot for his character that Luo Binghe hasn't tried for anything more sexual with his Shizun. You pegged pretty early on that the injured Luo Binghe Shen Qingqiu was caring for is not *his* Luo Binghe. But I did laugh at your reaction to the imposter being Luo Binghe from the original novel 🤣 Mind boggling first extra to have a sudden multiverse, right? It does seem a little left field. It is somewhat similar I suppose to the Incense Burner with Mo Dao Zu Shi, but those were Wangxian's younger selves and dreams. The changing of Luo Binghe's name to Bingge by the fans, the 'ge' being the same as gege, I believe is basically to show their respect and love for the character. Meanwhile Shen Qingqiu referring to *his* Luo Binghe as Maiden Luo or Bingmei (with the 'mei' the same word used for younger sister, so you were right with your original pronunciation) differentiates him from the OG potentially as being more in touch with his emotions/exhibiting some more "feminine" characteristics rather than the very "masculine" way he's portrayed in Proud Immortal Demon Way. Shen Qingqiu using the leaves in the forest as his weapons honestly also made me think of Byakuya's Senbonzakura from Bleach 🤣 I do think Mo Xiang Tong Xiu does a good job at making you feel bad for the original Luo Binghe. He has his harem, and yet he feels jealous over the kind of relationship Luo Binghe has with Shen Qingqiu in this universe. It made me question his sexuality and the potential possibility that his harem was a cover, or that inside he was still that hurt little boy and just kept adding more women to his harem in an attempt to heal the invisible wounds on his soul from the past he suffered. Loved you pointing out Akihiko and Haruki as a good example of a relationship where one person has flaws that he needs to work on, and the other person walking away (as much as possible) because he's finally going to put himself first and protect himself from the pain the one he loves has caused him. We shall see if Mo Xiang Tong Xiu manages to give you the same with Luo Binghe as Kizu gave us with Akihiko.
