We round out the month how we started: Another TWO-EPISODE reaction set! And this one highlights our lovely trio of Natsume, Tanuma, and Taki!
It's such a joy watching them work together and so much fun to see them developing their friendship with one another - definitely Natsume is thankful for his friends and how they have helped him come out of his shell and learn to trust humanity again! Let's talk about this set, shall we?!

Thank you so much for the comment and kind words! I looove the Tanuma focus this week! :3 The protective elements and giggling between them and how they’re learning to communicate - I SEE THE SHIP! And then Taki and Madara joining in – yes, there were so many good moments this episode set! AHAHAHA “but I could be possessed,” Oh the world of Natsume we live in! And yeessss, that’s a really cool way to see how “mediation between the yokai and humans” work in this world! Great point to bring up! And Natsume yes - being self-reliant - I love that Natsume sees how that is through Tanuma and maybe that will help him understand why he should change from that behavior. An amazing set and very Tanuma-focused – a gift just for me. 🥰 We had: protective!Tanuma, giggling!Natsume, Tanuma and Natsume figuring out how to talk to one another more, Madara shenanigans, Taki joining the case – so many amazing moments in these two episodes. And Tanuma essentially going: ‘it’s probably just a cold… but I could be possessed’ 😂 We’ve talked about Natsume being the mediator for yokai, I loved the way the yokai was a mediator for Natsume and Tanuma here. The sharing of sight and feeling between yokai and Tanuma was also so interesting. And these eps touch again on the idea of Natsume’s near pathological self-reliance – I think it is interesting how we see Tanuma essentially follow his example, and Natsume keeps experiencing what it is like to be on the receiving end of someone not asking for help when they really should have and is grumpy about it. Sometimes Natsume is very – do as a I say not as I do. I think it’s a good lesson for him to learn. Looking forward to next week! 💙
