We're baaaaaack, y'all! A shipping delay may have held off me reading this volume, but oh, the wait was worth it! We get the long-awaited backstory of Knives and Vash with Rem...and a mysterious Tesla!
But also, Vash confronts Knives, Knives makes some drastic moves, Wolfwood and Elendira have SURPRISINGLY good chemistry, and Legato proves he's a simp worthy of Knives's...affection? Eh? What a WILD volume to start us off for Deluxe Volume 3!

Thank you so much for the comment and kind words! And yessss, I started using Canva and I think it will help for the manga reactions! So thank you! I was reallllly enthralled with how Knives and Vash processed their trauma in this volume. And YES - wrath vs. mercy - and I love that it's how they get there that is almost reversed from what we would expect! But yes, Knives deeeeeefinitely has that "Lucifer" vibe to him! That Wolfwood jump scare! I love the idea of him and Elindira in a ship! Wolfwood out here gathering all the plant relationships hahaha -- I thought he was a merc, not a gardener! ;) So little Livio, but the tease was so effective! And yes, I will HAVE to rewatch Stampede before Stargaze, I definitely agree...and probably reread this series, too! ^^ OH. NEXT WEEK. Nightow gave us a WILD Rule of 8, for SURE! Looks great! π₯° Baby!Knives having slightly different characterisation is so interesting β I really love how the various versions approach Vash & Knivesβ processing (or not) of their trauma. The consistent end point is Knivesβ wrath vs Vashβs mercy β but the way they get there is slightly different each time. I think in TM!Knives is most directly/obviously a Lucifer-type figure. The Wolfwood jumpscare was real. π And I am also on board the Elendira/Wolfwood ship! Only a tiny tease of Liviooooo! again, so unfair. π I think a detailed rewatch of Stampede before the next season will now be mandatory for me. Cannot wait for next week! β€οΈ And also nervous about a Nightow Rule of 8. π
