Delicious in Dungeon: Episode 11 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

It’s not really a Chainsaw Man plot or character spoiler, but I do love with Chainsaw Man’s season that each episode has a different ED with a different art style, so that’s really cool! Laios would probably be right there with the creator of Jurassic Park and supporting the park….eeeeeep! I did love the callbacks as well to Jurassic Park, though! And the Erwin Smith vibes were WITH Laios as well! I love the sibling bond with him and Falin as well! I hate that people react negatively to her magic in the flashback. Chilchuck cursing in a different language was hilarious! And he was definitely badass this episode - I was right there with all the Senshi x Chilchuck moments as well! Especially with the “knife sacrifice!” I loved the group all working together equally in this battle! And yes, the levity works so well! Especially as it can be dark humor, which fits the tone of the show well. And yes, Mithril instantly makes me think of LOTR! Thank you for the comment and kind words! I loved this episode and I cannot wait for this coming week!

I love the flashbacks with Laios and Falin! It’s so adorable and I agree, they could have had an episode with just them in that! And yes, that is interesting that she noticed that about the ring! Laios with Vash energy?! NO WONDER I like him!! Hahaha!! I loved the dragon fight and how everyone had a part in it! It made this episode so fun to watch, especially with them all fighting together! And glad someone else played Oregon Trail - AND KID PIX YES!! Hahaha! Staples of Grade School Computer Lab! XD I hated that last river…I could never get past it! Booooo! It is nice to get the levity here and seriously Vinland Saga is great, but season 2 does not have a lot of levity, so this would be a nice balance! Thank you so much for the kind words and comment! More greatness is to come, I’m sure! 😀

Laios and Falin as kids is just pure bliss, loved the flashback, it could have been a full-length episode, and I bet it would have flown right by. Interesting thinking a bit more on that flashback from your discussion - young Falin declaring the ring was tying the soul to the body - that sounds tangentially similar to the dungeon magic our group is facing making death forbidden inside. I think maybe Laios has a little bit of Vash energy to him, perhaps! Just with a monster affinity instead of donuts haha. The big dragon fight was fun and animated really well, liked how everyone plays a part in it as you say. The whole fight felt nicely sequenced with satisfying twists and surprisingly just as much time is spent afterwards trying get inside the dragon as killing it, the comparison to Dwarven mines was fun. I don't think I've ever seen an anime that had our heroes tunneling through the insides of a dragon before! Yes, Oregon Trail! The best (only?) school game, I also remember Number Munchers and Kid Pix, but they weren't as cool haha. You're so right about the weight limits! After playing it enough times you finally get to the final sequence of sending the wagon down the river and dodging all the rocks only to crash and have to start all over! The humor and levity each episode this show brings are always greatly appreciated! It's been scarce as can be in Vinland Saga Season 2 as I approach the end, so rewatching this each week is so nice! Loved your reaction and discussion so much! It was great to see how much you enjoyed it, this definitely was one of my favorite episodes so far as well!

An anime with different art styles each episode would really be so cool. Like I love some anime mixing it up a little and change the art style for certain key scenes. But a new art style for every episode seems like it would be a nice way to portray a story, as well as see how art style shifts our perspective in regards to the characters and plot. Yes to them needing to quit it with raising all the red flags that their plot wasn't going to go as planned! I feel like Laios would either try to eat or make the dinosaurs mate if he was in Jurassic Park 😅 I just adore Chilchuck cursing in a foreign language 😂 And then for him to be a badass and manage to get that chef knife in the dragon's eye?? Love him. Also all the Senshi and Chilchuck ship moments this episode 🥰 Romania: Did he just become Erwin Smith? Yup Marcille blasted him off into another anime...only Laios lost his leg rather than an arm 😆 Falin being just as protective of Laios as he is of her 🥺 Getting to see this part of their childhood is amazing. But I really love how supportive Laios is with Falin, especially given how negative all the adults reacted to her magic. Definitely agree that in a lot of stories that follow groups there is very often one member who doesn't pull their weight. But we get a nice equal amount of all four trying their best/using their individual talents to their advantage. For that Jurassic Park I'd second needing that edit 😁 Definitely made my inner 90s kid happy with all the moments that felt like such callbacks to Jurassic Park. The levity they introduce during such high octane moments really works so well. I love the humour in this show, but I also love that it doesn't feel put-on or forcibly injected. It really just feels like a nervous response to such an intense situation is to crack a joke 😆 The mithril knife made me think of Lord of the Rings too (especially giving it is a fictional metal created by JRR Tolkien). Though because in that series the mithril armour was made by the elves it did make me wonder if that's a thing in this series, or if it's another moment that they've made an opposite take and had the dwarves make such a strong blade. That moment of Chilchuck looking at Senshi giving up his knife really made me feel the bond between the two (and I definitely viewed it through shipper goggles too). But Chilchuck in that moment could highly relate to Senshi's link with his cooking tools because we've seen Chilchuck's feeling regarding his trap tools. Yet again I love the way the monsters are in this show and how the creator has thought into detail about the anatomies to enable them to have certain abilities. Typically dragons being able to breathe fire is kind of just waived away as being to do with how their bodies are built/their magical make-up. So I really appreciate getting a much more realistic way of how a dragon could spew fire. The clicking sound is also a little terrifying. It reminded me back to when Marcille suggested lighting a fire with her magic but Senshi was adamant about doing it by hand, just like how the dragon does it and made the dragon seem less like this magical creature and more like a much larger reptile (*coughs* dinosaur *coughs*) with a thick hide and fire-breathing qualities. My guess with Laios tying Kensuke to his hand is so to give himself a solid grip and that he didn't lose the sword as he was blown up towards the dragon, but also to potentially counteract Kensuke from trying to get out of Laios' hold again.

Kung Fu Panda Two Spoilers My favorite instance of failed communication is Po, our hero, atop a wall 300 meters away from the villains giving his hear speech. Then cut to Shen hearing muffled shouting and going “what???” Spoilers end I love analyzing characters through fashion. It’s such an important tool of storytelling. My favorite TikToker does videos analyzing characters, they’ve actually does dungeon meshi, and I also follow moderngurlz on YouTube for costume analysis.

Dragon Battle! Yeah, plans never go as expected! Not much to say yet. I think you brought up some great points and I love your ideas! So the largest animal I’ve dissected was a shark. I’ve done cats, and smaller animals. I’ve also been to autopsies of humans in a class room setting. So, yes, I know that smell. I was trying to think of an animation with different animation styles in it. The ones I’ve seen are usually fan animated. One of my favorite is Joseph and the Promised Land Reanimated on Sabersparks channel. It’s really good! https://youtu.be/GGjzo5UtZ18?si=ocwCOWQJ3eGMqUT_ I really need to read this manga! I only have the first two volumes. I’m working on Natsumes Book of Friends right now. Today I have the house to myself so I am going to read all day! And bake some bread! The recipe for today is Cilbir! Since no recipe or food theme I just thought I would post what we had for breakfast today. It’s a Turkish dish that is very easy to make and super tasty! I do it a little different than the traditional way in that I fry my eggs because I’m lazy that early in the morning. I ain’t poaching the eggs! Cilbir recipe: Ingredients Half cup of whole milk Greek yogurt- I usually just eyeball it. 2-3 spoonfuls per serving. Garlic- minced- the more the better. 1-2 cloves and of course the biggest cloves. 🧛‍♀️ Eggs - fried, as many as you can afford! 😅 2 Tbls butter 1 tsp Aleppo chili flakes - if you can’t get them, I’ve used any chili flakes including Korean or whatever you find in the grocery store. You can add dill or sometimes I add Zattar to garnish Salt to taste Assemble time, about ten minutes. I start by toasting some bread (homemade is best but I’ve used everything from tortillas to whatever looks good in the bakery.) The yogurt sauce: In a bowl, place yogurt, pinch of salt and garlic and warm in microwave for around 30 seconds. You want to knock the chill out of it. It’s best if room temperature. Mix and plate. Eggs: I fry them and add pinch of salt to them. Got to season them! Lazy as hell in the morning. You can poach them and I’ve done this but I’m crap at poaching eggs. Place cooked eggs on plated yogurt sauce. Chili sauce: butter in a small bowl( microwave) or small pot on stove. (30 seconds) Melt butter and add Aleppo chili flakes. I usually add 1 teaspoon. Cook till butter chili sauce is bubbling. Should take about 30 seconds. Don’t burn! Pour over eggs and yogurt, garnish with herbs and other spices and serve with toast or other bread. Dig in! I love to cut the eggs up in smaller pieces so I can get them on my toast! Soooooooo good! It’s easy, satisfying, will stick to your ribs and pretty tasty! A video on how to do it with poached eggs: https://youtu.be/PkkuXmSD8A4?si=jRcyFXQ-kvCI_6Vp We have this dish regularly. It’s sooooo good with a cup o’ Joe. Looking forward to next week’s recipe! Dragon steaks? And I’m a run that steak through a warm room type of person. I want it to moo! Now Dragon steaks? Oh I’m cook the crap, out of it! Well, done good sir! Who knows what that dragon picked up in that dungeon! Thanks for the reaction!
