LINK CLICK Bridon Arc: Episode 6 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

*PUZZLED HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

This show is CRUEL. Absolutely cruel. They give us an incredible finale that throws enough new "puzzle" pieces onto the board, but it's far from enough to connect everything together and of course - we are left with two or three possible answers, and a dozen or so new questions...just to stew between now and season 3.

Watch me go insane trying to make heads or tails of it all. Get your popcorn!

I am sad that the final episode was only 26 minutes long but at least got a LOT out of it to keep us hungry for Season 3! And yes, it definitely felt like a “complete” arc all the way through! SO. MUCH. SHIPPING. I loved it all so much, too! They’re really buttering us up before it’s all going to go down season 3. I really was surprised at how often the forest story/metaphor was going to come back into this arc, but it really has and since this is technically a “prequel” arc, it’s been there “all along?” Since before season 2, technically? Wild. And OF COURSE we don’t get to hear LG’s answer. How dare this arc! XD WQ is so mysterious, still, but then, also CX's mom! I am really curious to know how the photo possession was proposed, what all CX’s mom knows…so many questions! But I agre with you and several others that CX’s parents haven’t presented themselves as…the greatest with their abandonment of CX. Especially when we know how he’s suffered because of it. At least CX has a found family now, but I’m curious if the parents’ goals are going to conflict with that. LG’s smile is SO terrifying! I think there is more to the “school for kids with powers” theory but I agree that there’s probably some middle ground; it’d be interesting to know more about the “administration” with it. I am sure they’ll let us know more in S3. We better find some more information on LG out this last season! Because we really know…not a lot about him…at ALL. *strokes chin* But yeah, that “last chance” part sounds…OMINOUS to say the least! As does Felix and Jack disappearing in this current timeline! I wonder if Felix killed Jack as well? Or did he run off with Vein and they both did it? 😛 So. Many. Questions. I just love Link Click and Cannot WAIT for season 3!! It’s going to wreck us, though, I’m sure!

Is anyone in the slightest bit surprised that the ending of this arc was a cliffhanger? No? Yeah, that seems about right XD Though I was sad that it was only 26 minutes long. And while, yeah, there were some really shocking surprises, I do appreciate that the arc felt precisely like that, an arc that had a satisfying conclusion and that will allow us to move on to the next season. My goodness, that shooting was *so gay*, and I LOVED every second of it. They really knew that the rest of the episode was going to be painful and gave us a nice smattering of comfort before it, how kind of them. THE FOREST METAPHOR/STORY MAKING A COMEBACK WAS NOT A CONNECTION I WAS EXPECTING AT ALL, BUT I WAS LIVING FOR IT. And the fact that we don't get to hear LG's answer? Of *course,* we don't, why would this show ever give us answers. The whole conversation with WQ was so interesting, but the ending was the best. I am convinced, now, that CX's mom asked her to be on alert if CX ever came to her, and to let her possess her to be able to talk to her son by taking a photo. Which does beg the question, can CX's mother only enter photos of the past, as CX himself, or can she enter photos of the present as Li Tianchen was able to? I was a bit mad at her, though, that she just tells CX, basically, that her abandonment is okay as long as CX has friends with him because he has not being truly alone... but we've seen the toll their absence has had on him, and not addressing that seems callous and cruel. I'm glad CX puts barriers between them at first. LG actively stalling Vein was a badass moment. But LG is just normally impressive. As for the theory that Chen Weimin is teaching in a school for kids with powers... I think there might be some truth to it, but in a much more centralized way. What I think is that CW could have gone there to teach at the languages school and then, on his own, look for kids with powers, or maybe he was doing it on behalf of some organization, I don't know, but what I do think is that the principal of the school would not know this was going on there. It would make sense if Felix and WQ both studied there. WHAT DOES LG MEAN BY THIS BEING HIS LAST CHANCE?! Has he run out of photos to continue diving into? Which seems unlikely, unless he can't just take more photos to use later on for some inexplicable reason. Felix and Jack disappearing in present time feels like something that will DEFINITELY come back in season 3, but it also gives me the vibe that, while both news were lumped together by the news, they are both related cases but completely different circumstances. Did Felix kill Jack and then went into hiding? Considering the very precarious emotional state we leave him on, that doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility. Regardless, LC never fails to be such an interesting show and I can't wait to see what season 3 has in store for us!

LG was SAVAGE in this episode all the way through! And yeah, him smiling or speaking calmly is so much more powerful than him getting angry! But yes, so much fan service in that photo scene! And yeah, maybe since it was happening in the UK…but also maybe they know we’re going to suffer later, so….*dark laughter* And yeah, that smile LG gives to Vein? *shudders* Though, I feel Vein would just be egged on by it! Yeah, CX’s parents abandoning Cheng is very…manipulative? Because you say you care but your actions seem a bit…contrasting to that. And yeah, they acted like things were just okay so…have they known how he’s been doing this whole time? And if THAT’S the case…then there are more questions I have for them! I really hope that if Cheng has that choice, he picks the found family as well! Agreed! That is so cool about Vein’s dialogue and it having all the British markers! I feel like I’m talking about Doctor Who - honestly, Vein would fit right into the Doctor Who universe! I was REALLY surprised by Vein’s “death” too – I still think Xia Fei going missing is still giving me red flags! And I do worry about him, especially given the cues about his trauma in this episode and how he reacts to Vein’s “death” at the airport. But I’m glad the cat hat returned at least! And oooohhhh, that thing with the timeline makes sense as well! Oh ho ho the plot thickens! And that’s an interesting thought about the mom and the WQ moment as well! I’m glad we’re on the same page about parts of this, too, ahah! With the powers, anyway! Ooohhhh, is LX a vampire, too? THAT would be interesting! ;) I do agree that LX probably paid off to get access to Vein’s body and “wake him up” before an autopsy could be performed. The painting of the sign scene makes so much more sense, now, so thank you for explaining that to me! Honestly, I feel you - I thought at first that 6 episodes wouldn’t be enough to be for an arc but *laughs maniacally* I agree - any more, and I think our brains would explode and we need this time to really think about the series…and prepare ourself for the torture of Season 3! Thank you for the comment and kind words! I cannot wait to check out the extras for this season, too!

RIGHT?! This arc has been so insane! Yes, where do we even start?! This arc was all questions and a handful of answers, haha! Hahahah, if wine didn’t normally give me a headache, I would so have been involving wine-chan! BUT YES, the fan service and shipping was so good in this episode especially! But yeah, we kind of are masochists, aren’t we? We go into this series knowing that there are characters likely to die and we’re going to be devastated, but hey! At least we’re having fun, right?! XD AND YES, that smile from LG was so terrifying!! The eye symbolism in this show is so good as well! And hahahaha LX = shady bitch based on his eyes is so perfect and I love it! Thank you for the comment and kind words! I’ve loved this arc and I can’t wait to look at the extras soon!

Romaniablack

Ahahaha, Vein IS the undead now, isn’t he?! No beating those vampire accusations! I am glad that we got both of Cheng’s parents in this as well! I really want to know about LG in season 3, and I feel they are saving him for last because…well…he’s kind of the crux of it all, isn’t he? But yes, this show is SUCH a tease! And yes, everything was so simple in season 1 and now it’s a rabbit hole of questions and trying to figure everything out!! Thank you for watching this arc with me - I’ll be back at the end of the month with all the “extras” for this season and I can’t wait to talk about them!

Romania: I thought he was gonna say "You're an uggo, get out" Nope, Lu Guang is way more savage than that and insults more than Jack's looks 🤣 I love how his tone remains so even and matter-of-factly. Makes his words land much harder than a response given in anger or outrage. The photoshoot scenes was just so much fanservice for us shippers and I loved every minute of it 😍 I do wonder if the censors passed it though because technically it's happening in Bridon, and the UK doesn't have the same kind of censorship regarding same sex couples. Also highly appreciative of all the fanart that has come from those couple of photos 🥰 And so many Jujutsu Kaisen feels 🥺 (This arc has made me see quite a number of similarities between my two beloved black & white ships, SatoSugu and ShiGuang 🥲) Cheng Xiaoshi's Mum definitely made me dislike both his parents. I get that she wants to save Cheng Weimin, but I cannot understand how you could willingly abandon your young child (a child you made no preparations of care for, especially considering "their" photo studio is owned by Qiao Ling's family [and why Cheng Xiaoshi calls her Landlady]). And then to see him again, all grown up, and just act like everything is hunky dory and as if it's only been ten minutes since you last saw each other, not ten years. It makes me hope that if in Season 3 Cheng Xiaoshi is faced with the choice of his parents or his Found Family (Qiao Ling and Lu Guang) that he picks the latter, no matter how much he misses his parents. Considering Vein's comment about Lu Guang's murderous intent, that smile he gives Vein when he says he knows he can't stop him gives me chills. Lu Guang does not smile often, but he's never smiled like that. I gotta give props to the writer for Vein's dialogue. Definitely makes it seem like he's either British himself, or has lived in Bridon long enough to adopt some of the things we typically do. One of those things is apologising ("Sorry, sorry"), but the other is calling people, even strangers, pet names ("sweetie"). The way he said "sweetie" was a lot more menacing than how a stranger would usually say it, but it is a term I've been called on a number of occasions by random people (same for honey/hun, or love/luv). I agree with you that there felt like there were so many death flags for Xia Fei throughout this arc and I was terrified he'd end up dead somehow, so Vein's "death" was a huge shock for me. But afterwards I realised, Lu Guang's presence changed things (even just by delaying Vein a little) and that may have been the needed moment to stop the dominoes falling in a predicted manner. The cat hat returned! I had to pause so as I could properly focus on Cheng Xiaoshi and Xia Fei's conversation after I saw that hat reappear. Just one thing about Vein coming to shoot them later; that happened in the original timeline. In this timeline, to me, Lu Guang seems to have wanted Vein dead when they were in Bridon. Likely because if he died in 2019 then Vein wouldn't be alive to try and kill them in 2021. As for the current timeline (going by Season 1 and 2) the date Vein originally killed Cheng Xiaoshi has already passed. He shot Cheng Xiaoshi on the 12th September 2021, but we're now in November (possibly December) of 2021 with that scene of Cheng Xiaoshi freshening up the Photo Studio sign. From what Xia Fei has said Vein is the owner/big boss of multiple businesses alongside the modelling company, so it makes sense for him not to be present at every photo shoot. And the company may have decided to run the shoot with a minimum staff so as Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang, as first-timers, could relax a little more and give better takes than if Vein was hovering around in the background 😆 Definitely agree that there is a hint of trauma around Xia Fei for the continued comments about his face throughout this arc. Like you I'm not sure if he's suffered a physical or sexual assault, but there is definitely an undertone to those scenes where focus is given to Xia Fei's looks and the idea of him not getting jobs "legitimately". I think because I listen to anime and donghua with my headphones it was easier for me to make sense of the Wang Qing/Cheng Xiaoshi's Mum moment. You can clearly hear after the noise of the camera shutter the sound effect they use for when Cheng Xiaoshi enters a person. Also the change up in syntax and body language I feel helps pinpoint that Cheng Xiaoshi was speaking to Wang Qing up until she took the photograph. Then Cheng Xiaoshi's Mum possessed her and it was her from that moment until she clapped herself free from possessing Wang Qing. We just don't know if Wang Qing sent the photo immediately to Cheng Xiaoshi's Mum and she possessed Wang Qing in real time, or Cheng Xiaoshi's Mum received the photo after Wang Qing disappeared and she went back in time. I agree with you that I think Wang Qing's ability just wears off in time, and don't think Liu Xiao can control heartbeats. Though in thinking of Vein as a vampire, being able to hear heartbeats is a common trope with vampire stories, so do we add Liu Xiao to the list of vampires? 🤭 But I do question on what kind of autopsy was performed to figure out Vein's cause of death, or did Liu Xiao pay for a fake report to be made that listed cause of death as an issue with his heart? Vein didn't look like he'd been autopsied and I do wonder if he'd have died died if he was actually autopsied instead of waiting for Wang Qing's ability to wear off/reanimate Vein. The scene of Cheng Xiaoshi painting the sign was a bit confusing for me too, especially after seeing the missing text about it being three years later. I checked the sign name for in Season 1, the beginning of this arc, and this scene three years later. The name was different at the beginning of this arc, but the sign is the same from Season 1 as it is shown here. I believe Cheng Xiaoshi isn't changing the name in the scene at the end of this episode, but rather renewing the paint on the sign. Hand-painted signs do require some upkeep, especially for ones outside in the elements. Also at the beginning of this arc the sign was a little more professional looking, whereas the sign that's been on the Photo Studio throughout Season 1 and 2, and at the end of this episode, looks more handmade and so I'm pretty sure the sign is in Cheng Xiaoshi's handwriting. If they'd made this arc more than six episodes our brains would definitely explode from all our thoughts, theories, and detecting work. Excited to watch the extra stuff with you too!

Well, if Vein wasn’t one of the undead before he certainly is now! XD I’m glad we got some of his mom in here and not just his dad. I hope we’ll get to learn more about LG next season too. Like, we hear all this stuff about CX’s parents but we don’t even know if LG has any living family members at all! They certainly do like to tease us in this show. Having so many questions and so few answers kinda makes me miss the first episodes of season 1, where we got the mission episodes and kinda stand alone stories. But hopefully they have something planned that will make all the suspense worth it. Thanks for watching this with us and sharing your thoughts!

I have been so excited to see your reaction to this episode and oh boy it did not disappoint! There is SO much to talk about in this episode. So I can’t wait to get to your discussion! Like, where do you even start😅? In classic Link Click fashion it’s leaving us with more questions than answers. I’m glad I had a big glass of red wine with me when I watched this episode for the first time because I knew I would need it😭. At the very least I’m glad we got a cute couples photo shoot that we could gush over until Link Click decides that that’s enough happiness for today. I swear us Link Click fans must be some kind of masochists because we keep coming back to this show, even though we know it’s only gonna hurt us in the end🫠. Also, that smile that LG gave to Vein is probably one of the most unsettling parts of the episode. Can’t wait to see how season 3 plays with our emotions. EDIT: I also love all the symbolism with the eyes in the show. Makes sense since a lot of the time you could tell peoples true emotions or intentions through their eyes. For example if you look into Liu Xiao’s eyes you can tell he’s a shady bitch. Providing just as much shade as his hat😭.
