So many dots align in this episode and yet there are suddenly SO many new theories and questions! All I do know is that Laios is Best Brother still, Chilchuck has more of a heart than he lets on, and Marcille needs a rematch, y'all!

Senshi put in all that work…to have it all go up in dragon’s blood! Luffy is shipped with many things, but mostly food and piracy! ;) I do love the reveal of the elf as the mage! It’s SO GOOD! And poor Chilchuck - he clearly has some trauma he’s working through and this episode was not good for him. I am NOT a roller coaster person - the Batman with my feet dangling? No ma’am. THE BOOK OF 8 - that is what I will have to start referring to it as! Ahahaha! Yesss, I love that! The raptors in the Jurassic Park movies are just scary, period! And COMPYS! Yes, that is what I was thinking of with the little tiny dragons the mad mage creates! Thank you for the comment and kind words! Dungeon Meshi is definitely a series I look forward to each week!

I do love how this series is so DRY at times in the humor of the situations they end up in - I love it! *laughs out loud* Chilchuck WOULD be April! And Laios is SO Andy! Chilchuck had to work through some demons this episode, I felt sorry for him! But I like how everyone in this party respects each other when it matters. Your reaction for when we meet the Mad Mage was so great - 'what, what? what! WHAT! WHAT!!!' Also loved your shipping Luffy with well, ships - haha, Luffy's ships are literal ships! :) The rollercoaster analogy is a good one, I made it on Batman at least once, I think every other time I was at Great Adventure it was broken down or just not running! What happened to all the happy times from last episode indeed! Who knew the Mad Mage is a Romania Black fan, carrying around his book of the Rule of 8! And surrounded by angel wings no less! Does it get any better? I remember seeing Jurassic Park 2 (I'm pretty sure this was 2) growing up with my family in theaters, and the ONE THING I will never forget, ever, is when I died during that movie! I might as well have, towards the end a raptor peaks its head inside the building through a crack on the floor with no warning and screams, HOLY SHIT jump scare! I kid you not my soul left my body hahaha. 😱 The little guys at the beginning of JP2 are compys! That's short for something much longer, and they do remind me of the dragon creatures the Mad Mage creates! Enjoyed it all, and the Q+A was fun, can't wait for more episodes!

2025-02-22 05:31:42 +0000 UTCIn all fairness, who could have known that the big bad introduction was in that wacky episode where the gag is that Laios is trying to eat inside oil paintings only to be stopped by progressively more awkward situations. And now, similarly his reveal and first confrontation didn't happen after some dramatic build up, he literally caught our party half asleep and still in their PJs. Show loves to mix the mundane and the fantastic, the dramatic and the silly. If Senshi is Ron, does that make Chilchuk April? I think Laios as Andy and Marcille as Leslie make for pretty good matches too.
