2025-03-04 01:18:47 +0000 UTCAbout the Changing Ghost (Wuchang Gui), "Gui" is ghost of course. "Wuchang" here can be translated to "Changing", but maybe "Impermanence" is better. Since it is a term that refers to how the states of life are constantly changing and unpredictable, like everything that comes also goes, everything that lives must die, etc You are right that Gong Jun as WKX is incredible in his micro expression. He can be extremely expressive but also shows his concern in the smallest change in expression. It's just so captivating to watch and make us feel his sincerity towards ZZS despite all the silliness he gets up to. Seeing ZZS open up and flirt back a bit to WKX is amazing. It's like when his real mask came off, his metaphorical "mask" also came off too. His fake coughing to make WKX hunt food for him made me want to scream. It's just so unexpected but insanely cute. And his face also looks so soft but at the same time kinda glowing beside the fire?! They are both so silly!! Just kiss already!! The lines that were changed from the original script are wild. The fact that they even filmed them in the first place is brave to me. And they specifically made it so people can still lip-read even if they were dubbed over, which is so cool. I'm highly appreciative of all the way they beat the censors haha From what I heard, the nuts advertisement saved the show btw. It already has a smaller budget than other shows, so these ads help a lot. All hail Wolong nuts!!

Is it gay to grab a man and fly him through the skies whilst a romantic sounding song plays in the background? 🤔🤣 Even when he's not the focus, Gong Jun's facial and eye acting is unreal. Definitely agree that Zhang Zhehan, Zhou Zishu's actor, is an amazing actor for his stoic side and portrayal of Zho Zishu's internal pain. But yeah Gong Jun's acting is just next level. The blood sucking scene I immediately accepted that the censors got sucked in to the story and love developing between them and completely forgot the job they were supposed to be doing 😂 Also made me think that for a Tian Guan Ci Fu live action we should definitely be able to get the poison sucking scene if we managed to get this one. Like it's not just as sensual to be sucking on the back of a man's hand than slowly stripping him of his individual layers and then sucking the wound on his bare back 😆 The being able to debate and help Zhou Zishu fight his enemies with reason immediately made me think of Hua Cheng and the 33 gods 😍 Wen Ke Xing slaughtering the Beggar Group is similar to Hua Cheng fighting the martial gods, whilst fighting through debate is like Hua Cheng's fight with the civil gods. Romania: Who needs a sex scene when you've got this? And then they get wet and strip off a little later 🤭 Zhou Zishu leaving Wen Ke Xing worrying for him in the water shows he has just as much of a childish streak as Wen Ke Xing 😆 Same for him wiping his gourd before taking a drink after Wen Ke Xing. Though your mentioning of him being fine with the flute before made my NSFW brain perk up: Zhou Zishu is fine with blowing, but not swallowing 🤦♀ Now that the mask is off Zhou Zishu's acting hurt to get Wen Ke Xing to wait on him 😍 Gotta love that he gives back so much flirting in return. But yeah I don't reckon Gu Xiang cares an iota for what her Master's getting up to 😂 She's too happy playing mahjong with her ladies. The Scorpion King's design is so gorgeous. I really like his braids. But the soft way he speaks is what really made me intrigued about his character. Especially whilst the Changing Ghost's voice was a lot more emotional. The way that they were cleaning the rabbits honestly made me think of Gu Xiang talking about Zhou Zishu's inability to cook the fish for Chengling. And then the descent into childish revelry that faded to black (a transition I've seen several times in Western movies that, to keep within the suitable rating, they use instead of an explicit love scene 🤭). The new Hanfu for Wen Ke Xing is definitely one of my favourites out of all the attire he's worn so far. Especially with that gorgeous embroidery. But yeah it definitely doesn't help my imagination with the last time us seeing them be a fade-to-black moment 😅 Little bit of product placement with those nuts. Much more natural than the Cornetto adverts in the Mo Dao Zu Shi donghua 🤣 Though I do love Wen Ke Xing still calls Gu Xiang out for the way she entreated him to try them on if someone paid her. So much fangirling and I'm right here for it! 🥰 Good taste on the Truly, Madly, Deeply comparison with the soft romantic music they keep playing 😂 Kinda makes me want to edit that scene of them flying through the air and on the water to Savage Garden's song 🤣 Will probably do it once I finish this reaction. The long sleeves of their Hanfu really do make them look like they have wings as they spin, just like Sky Dancers. I can remember those toys too, though they were banned from my Primary School as a girl launched hers into the face of another student and he ended up with a black eye 😅 When you were saying Zhou's just being like "keep it together, my body is a temple" I couldn't help but finish in my head "a temple Wen Ke Xing seems to want to worship if the looks and the blood sucking is anything to go by" 😁
