We are starting out season 5 with QUITE an episode, as Natsume has decided he wants to learn more about his grandmother, and all I can say is: "It's about dang time!"
Of course, what we DO discover this episodes opens up even MORE questions and my fangirl-theorizing brain is going into overdrive with what we learn this week!
Also, we're reviewing Manga Volume 11 and it's SUCH a surprising and good one! Let's GO season 5!

I love that he, Touko, and Madara are all the key pillars of the PROTECCNatsume Squad - I’d honestly put Natori in that as well, based on Season 4. Thank you for the kind words about the discussion with Reiko and Natsume - I LOVE what the mangaka is giving us with them and yessss, Natsume I just want to protect as well - he’s so polite, even when in pain, and I feel for him! I started getting incensed just listening to your brief descriptions of the Tachibana and Miyoko content, everyone who has ever been horrible to Natsume needs to go; 2. Ta-nu-ma! Ta-nu-ma! 😂 The conversation with Tachibana was really interesting! In the episodes the focus was much more on Natsume’s emotional state (and his vision nearly tunnelling) and then Toko, Tanuma and Madara’s concern for him. I see your anger on behalf of Natsume – it is so understandable. “I wanted to grab him and run.” Watching Natsume nearly disassociate (but still be so polite) was rough when he was talking to the woman. And yes, love anytime we get more Reiko! 🥰 The discussion around Natsume and Reiko’s similarities and differences was excellent. Looking forward to next week! 💙
