NATSUME YUUJINCHOU Season 5: Episode 3-4 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

*DOUBLE TROUBLE HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

It's a two-parter and OH is it a two-parter! We get BOTH Natori and Matoba this week as Natsume is tugged into an ordeal with the exorcists -- can he resist Matoba's requests while simultaneously helping to solve a mystery?

Season 5 is really making these characters look too good, y'all...this was maybe one of the more intense set of Natsume episodes yet!

NATSUME YUUJINCHOU Season 5: Episode 3-4 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Comments

Thank you so much for the comment and kind words! WHAT A SET to come after a sweet episode just a week before! XD Seriously, Natsume’s journey from innocent bean to possible yokai vigilante is…WILD to me, but hey, we’re 5 seasons in!! Why not?! And yes, the “walk in a mile in their shoes” moment with Natsume realizing how the yokai were treated and why it would cause them to act as aggressive as they do - I LOVED that moment in the episode! And yes, how he felt being called Reiko - it’s definitely a complicated feeling - I love that the show challenges us through that. I am LOVING season 5 so much so far, so I’m excited for the next week as well! Thank you for the support and comment!

Yessss, I definitely get those yakuza vibes from them as well! That's such a good connection to bring up - I just don't want to know if Matoba has a giant back tattoo or not! #_# Thank you for the comment!

Loved the reaction & discussion! This was a really interesting set of episodes, love the contrast of this to the previous episode with, as you said: ‘a yokai just happy about getting a blankie from a kind old man’ 😂 I also love the idea of the sweetest, kindest, softest bean!Natsume innocently and inadvertently stumbling into becoming some form of rebel vigilante. 😂 The scene with the exorcists harassing Natsume and him experiencing what yokai go through was really interesting, I often like the kind of ‘walk a mile in their shoes’ scenes. And I think parallels can also be made to your previous discussions around Natsume being perceived as Reiko and his complicated feelings about that. I like how the show plays around with those ideas. Looking forward to next week! 💙

Sunspots

On the topic of the exorcists being like mafia, they do have surface similarities with the stereotypical Yakuza organization; a "family business" with the heads having traditional Japanese homes and clothing.
