Delicious in Dungeon: Episode 18 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Comments

I’m sorry it took so long to get to this comment! *flails* But thank you for the comment and the kind words! I love the Great Dungeon Bake Off! I loved trying to figure out who was who but YES, Marcille’s was hard! And if you are a Senshi and Chilchuck shipper, how could you NOT be excited!? Marcille as a sniper and Laios as a literal dog is giving me Psycho Pass vibes, maybe? Is this how Laios and Kogami are connected?! Can Akane and Kabru be connected?! 😛 The Lunatic Magician and Makishima surely! I really love that this show can be so fresh and unexpected! I agree, the comedy is up my ally as well! And yes, I will not stop shipping Kabru and Laios anytime soon! That figurine; I’ll take the price tag for how HUGE it is - but seriously…where would she gooooo? And yes, thank you…why do I think millennia is 2K? Hm. Education systemmmm?! *shakes fist* I would live for a Dungeon Meshi x Hocus Pocus crossover! We might have an Binx stand in coming, too! ;) Thank you for the comment and kind words and YES! I need Werewolf!Laios and Vampire!Kabru STAT!

Hats off to you guessing it was Asebi holding Marcille's hand! 🥳 The Great Dungeon Bake Off...it's honestly the only way I'd trust Laios being able to tell the difference 😆 I love them adding a spot the difference though. It's fun trying to work out which imposter is from which person's thoughts of that person. Marcille's though I think is the hardest to figure out. But all of Laios' monologues do make you question as to who is who. It's also a great way to show Laios' way of figuring things out, and his natural intuition. The Senshi/Chilchuck shipper in me was definitely happy this episode. Between there looks to one another while talking about the plan to go after the Lunatic Magician Laios told Shuro, and then Chilchuck not seeing an issue with Senshi being good-looking 🥰 I love Laios kind of gives up on figuring out the imposter and just chooses to go after the monster attacking them. But Laios' dog impression is definitely unexpected. Marcille just blowing the monster to pieces always makes me giggle 🤣 She was just done with it all. Laios getting too caught up in his acting to draw his sword is so adorable, and then him petting the monster's tail 🥺 Every episode is great at giving you something different. It has definitely been my most surprising anime I've watched recently because I first went into it thinking it was going to just be an exploration of a dungeon anime that also involved cooking up a storm, but it turned out to be so much more and so much better. It crosses so many genres. And like you said, one episode can be an absolute bloodbath and then the next is a comical and more light-hearted episode, and the creators have managed to make it all fit together nicely rather than it feeling like a random and disjointed mess. Also the comedy is top tier and right up my alley, which doesn't happen too often in anime for me. I will never not appreciate a good comparison between Laios and Kabru. The more comparisons that can be made between them the stronger the trope Opposites Attract becomes 😆 When I first saw the giant KFC!Falin figurine I did question the price tag, but then the creators of the merch put out a video that gave you a better understanding of the actual size of the damn thing. It's still on the pricey side, but more acceptable as a splurge buy because it is massive. But yeah the big issue is space for where to put her 🥲 Just one little correction Romania, millennia is a thousand years, not two thousand. Your calling the Lunatic Magician one of the Sanderson sisters made me laugh 🤣 Now I kinda want an edit to the Magician to "I Put A Spell On You" 🤔 Oooh werewolf!Laios and vampire!Kabru would be so good 😍

Thank you so much for the comment and kind words! THE TYPE THAT KABRU WOULD HAVE HAD!? Hmmm….I’m so intrigued by that question! And yes, someone noted which copy actually belongs to who and I think that’s interesting sooo….yeah…the ship could possibly set sail! Thank you so much for the fun information!

I loved hearing your thoughts on which copy belonged to who! Now I also really want to see what kind of copy that Kabru’s mind would have come up with. And what kind of copy Laois’s mind might have made of Kabru. If you’re interested, the manga does have a page that explains which copy came from which person’s mind, and gives a short blurb about why they look the way they do. I don’t remember the explanation for each of them, but I do remember that you are right about the handsome Senshi being from Chilchuk’s mind, and the manga saying that Half foots find dwarven features masculine and handsome 😏 Now we just need to convince Senshi that Chilchuk isn’t actually a kid and we can really get this ship going. 😁 Thanks for the video and discussion!

My favorite, Frieren! It was fun watching them puzzle through their clones in that as well, especially Frieren, aka smut granny herself, but DM definitely did it way crazier this episode! When they show things in the perspective of kids, we sometimes get the effect too and I enjoy it - like when Stark remembers the larger-than-life ice cream sundae, or his mentor Eisen towering over him despite being a dwarf!

Right?! That giant KFC Falin would look amazing somewhere! Hahahaha, oh, that’s so nice about the commission - I had not thought about commissions of that nature before so…*ponders*...interesting! But of course, how could I resist talking about it! And YES, the discussion really does become about shipping, hahaha! And yes, the dark humor of this show creeps up and reveals how actually scary some of this is! The concept of the shapeshifters is SO neat, especially how this series does it! I would love to see it in One Piece - that would be WILD! Frieren kind of does this…but not to the extent that DM does! There’s so many possibilities, though! Thank you so much for the comment and kind words; this was a fun episode!

Laios really loves his dogs! SQUIDWARD MARCILLE being Senshi’s is HILARIOUS! OMG That is insane! I’m so happy with the truth of the shapeshift bit! Also, how could I forget cat girl when the show so conveniently points out she’s missing in Episode 17?! I’m onto you, show! *points finger at it* Thank you for the comment!

Romaniablack

In the episode with the undine Falin said Laios has the best dog impression and well… Falin was absolutely right Laios does have the best dog impression. I wanted to talk about “The Truth of the Shapeshift” but it’s actually hard to do in text, but I’ll do my best. You were right about Chilchuck viewing Laios as being dumb. Squidward Marcielle was Senshi. You were right Chilchuck was the jojo/handsome senshi. Again right about Blushy Chilchuck being senshi. Buff Laios was Marcille. The marcille with the red collar/bow was Laios, apparently he has trouble remembering her hairstyles. However, Chilchuck apparently only remembers her hair, thus she has the braids. Marcielle remembered only senshi’s stature and build. Laios didn’t remember the hole in senshi’s helmet. Laios overall had the most accurate perception of each character, imo. I’m surprised you remembered the cat girl.

The show being good in different ways each episode is so on point! Yes, I've also seen the extra large KFC Falin along with my daughter, and pondered that one as well, but space and money are things as much as we wish they weren't! 😊 You did this discussion justice; I was looking forward to this one and was not disappointed! I honestly thought maybe I should humor commissioning a 20-minute whiteboard-kun thesis over the duplicates - who's duplicate is from who, and what it all means, and you delivered the goods anyway! Loved it! Some of the duplicates like the Laios with the off-center eyes and Marcille with the spellbook for dummies, handsome Senshi and others are so crazy they're hilarious! What a shipper's dream - pick your main party from the versions within their ship's minds, and see who has less favorable views of others! The dark humor is just how terrifying it is that the main party isn't immediately recognizable and anyone of them could be left behind! When you think about it, each character would be more likely to not pick their actual companions - because the fake versions are what they think the real versions to be! It would be kinda awesome to get these shapeshifters in other series, I'd love to see main characters drawn through the eyes of other characters, haha! Even something like One Piece would be hilarious, seeing how each version of the crew looks from each other's eyes! Always enjoy these Dungeon Meshi reactions, thanks!
