Beautifully animated, so much fan service in surprising ways, and we get all of our favorite couples just having the BEST times with one another...my fangirling heart is full and I am recharged for the wait until Season 2!

I was in LOVE with this OVA so much! Renga’s section was so cute! I just love that Lange goes over to Reki’s all the time now! :P The piggyback ride was ADORABLE!! I need Miya being Reki’s future in-law and WORST NIGHTMARE. . I totally understand the Matchablossom section getting so much love! I did enjoy it! But yeah, the intense “battles” between them! They’re just so much but I love it - such divas! I need Reki and his friend incorporated into season 2 as well! SPEAKING OF DIVAS! I totally get that with Adam - he honestly needs someone so grounded and “bland” as Tadashi to balance his weirdo freak out. Hiromi is so cute - I just need him to be happy! I really love this OVA and it was just the “taste” I needed - I can’t wait to see when Season 2 eventually *small laugh* comes out! .

Actually, the SOS brothers are one of the reactor groups that inspired me to start this channel - them and Murder of Birds - waaaay back with their RWBY reactions! I've honestly been voting on them to watch SK8 the Infinity so I'm glad they're finally there! I'll definitely have to check into their reactions! 2025-04-01 19:12:29 +0000 UTCFINALLY some more sk8! I don't know if you watch any other reaction channels, but one of the few I've found to be worth supporting besides you is "semblance of sanity." They are scheduled to start watching sk8 for the first time late April (a few weeks from now). The two brothers on the channel are very open to all genres (one in particular loves well executed ships and romance stories) and provide good commentary/post watch discussions. Now's your chance to be part of the audience trying to not spoil it for the reactor :) Their catalog includes many that match yours. sk8, apothecary diaries, dungeon meshi, bloom into you, skip and loafer, buddy daddies, given, bananafish, among a bunch more of the more pop titles.

2025-04-01 10:31:02 +0000 UTCThis OVA is everything that I needed and so much more. I adored it from beginning to end. I agree, the Renga little opening section was my favorite. The implication that Langa is so comfortable with Reki's family now made my day. And that piggy back ride? Absolutely precious. Thanks to fanfics, I've seen the idea of Miya and Koyomi being a potential couple in the future, so seeing this OVA sort of point in that direction as well WAS AMAZING. I need it to happen now, that would be so funny, to see Reki and Miya become actual family. Look, as predictable as the Matchablossom section was, I had so much fun with their overdramatic, insufferable asses that I can't fault it. The moment that really sent me into a laughing fit, is when they are doing that last sport assesment, jumping from one side to the other, and we see the movement lines so *intense* implying they're going so fast... and then they show what's really going on and it's just these two teens jumping from one side to the other comoletely normally, and it cracks me every time. Seeing little Reki and his friend was SUCH A NICE TREAT! I definitely would love to see that incorporated in season 2. I'll freely admit that Adam creeps me out, but it was funny seeing how Tadachi just slept the day away. Hiromi's little sections were so precious, though; and I felt so bad that he couldn't have his cup of tea with the manager in the end because he was dressing to go to S T_T I hope he gets his chance, indeed. Overall, this was just so much fun and so precious and made me hunger for a season 2 so much more. I'll definitely have to rewatch it... and maybe I'll rewatch all of season 1 in the process because, why not? XD
