The last two weeks were hard but they were worth the pay off THIS week! Chengling not only stands up for himself #justiceforchengling but also gets to play literal mediator and matchmaker with our two grumbly boys who need to make up!!
This episode was INSANELY good - twists, confirmations, more questions, and ALL THE MOMENTS BETWEEN ZZS AND WKX! Let's gush about it!

I just love the ghost scenes as well! And WKX definitely feels like a father figure to GX! Yeah, his interactions with the female ghosts are all very different from the male ones - ahem haha! I also like seeing ZZS in assassin mode only if it will show him being confident again and not in complete angst land. Also, YES, the irony that the ones Chengling loves and trusts the most now are an assassin leader and chief ghost are hilarious. Bless him for working to get them to makeup! It is really sad how WKXβs connection to the shoulder blades have such a dark origin. Yes, agreed on Gao Chongβs actor! I agree that this scene at the end is so good and such a way to allow for ZZS to find a way to reveal more of himself and maybe that will encourage WKX to do the same in the future? 2025-04-11 14:59:01 +0000 UTCAll of the scenes with WKX and the ghost women are all so interesting. We get his close and kinda fatherly relationship with him and Gu Xiang. Then the two women whom Gu Xiang picked up. Then now we have the Tragicomic and Alluring Ghost. He is still stern with them, but compared to how he treats the male ghosts, it is clearly different. Seeing ZZS in his assassin mode again for a bit is nice. He looks so good confidently fighting and talking down to the Scorpions lol. Okay we as the audience know that WKX and ZZS are actually good to CL. But the fact that his father told him to trust no one, and then the people he choose to trust are a former assassin leader and a current ghost chief, that never fails to make me laugh. CL is like the kid awkwardly trying to fix his parents' relationship lol. And also I love that he immediately assumes that it was WKX who is in the wrong and tells him to apologize. Gao Chong's actor is so good in his scene with the memorials. Ah yessss the shoulder blades connection. Now we know why he is so fixated on them. First it was funny now it's sad π ZZS shared information about his past with CL to welcome him as a disciple of course, but I feel it's also a gentle nudge to WKX, since it came right after WKX refused to give him an answer again to the question "Who are you really?". ZZS spent his time post-breakup wallowing in his misery, but he also questions himself a lot, like "can I really judge him? do I really want to do this? do I want to stay here and watch this? do I want to waste the rest of life drinking to death?". And CL gives him a push to make the decision on how he wants to go on, then he tries to extend that to WKX too. It's such a beautifully done scene.
