This season has not let me down, and this week, Tanuma invites Natsume and friends to a family's inn for a festival and fun! However, who could have predicted the yokai-filled shenanigans?! I was FLOORED with some of the callbacks to previous seasons and the heart this episode had!

Thank you for the kind words and comment! I can't turn down a Tanuma-centric episode! Yeahhhh, the yokai blending in with humans is VERY interesting but Madara IS playing favorites with the Natsume family to me! The series is just so consistent over the years! I feel it's good for Tanuma to have a friend like Natsume, as you talked about in the vice versa scenario -- OOHHHHH the Rule of 8 did NOT let us down! I can't wait! Of course I adore a Tanuma-centric episode! π I also loved that cut to Madara when Ito talked about βnot playing favourites.β And it is really interesting to see a yokai try to blend in among humans for such a long time. And I completely agree with how well the series handles consistency β within characterisation, growth shown and, yes, even the clothes! We talk a fair bit about how good it is for Natsume to have friends who βknowβ even if they cannot know in the same way. But it is so good for Tanuma, as well! To know that if he felt something was odd, he now has someone he can tell. Even if in this instance, Natsume needs to let the mystery be. Looking forward to next week! π Rule of 8!
