Third Person POV
Land of Sand, Year 38.
...
...
Minato jumped to one side of the forest, sighing as he finally had a moment of peace after all the commotion that had been happening since he returned.
He was happy that he helped so many people, but he was a little unsettled by his own reception, which went on for hours and didnât seem to end, so he ended up sneaking away at the first opportunity. It was nice and contagious how everyone called him a hero, but he wasnât used to this kind of constant attention focused on him.
He finally stopped by a river, approaching to splash some water on his face, while taking off his shirt and jumping into the water wearing only his shorts, finally getting rid of the clothes he had worn in Suna to wash off a bit and relax at last.
âMan, I needed this after spending some time in the desert, even though it wasnât that many days... Still, I could never live in a place like the Land of Wind...â Minato murmured while floating, looking up, watching the clouds slowly moving across the sky.
This lasted for a while until he felt a presence approaching this place. He had sensed her presence before but noticed that she didnât come near him during the celebrations.
She must have followed him after scanning the area, and Minato wouldnât mind seeing her; after all, he wanted to check on her.
It didnât take much longer for her to land in front of the river where Minato was bathing in his shorts, while she looked at him with some caution.
âMinato...â Tsuna murmured.
âTsuna!â Minato, still floating, turned his face to her with a sincere smile. âYouâre okay, thatâs great,â he said.
âThanks to you...â she murmured, with a gaze full of tenderness. âBut still, you shouldnât have done that... you should have let me die. When they told me you touched my arm and took the poison too... I couldnât believe it.â In the end, she let a few tears fall.
âHey, I donât regret anything I did...â Minato approached the edge of the river where Tsuna was crouched, looking at him with some tears.
âEven so, you shouldnât have risked yourself like that for someone as foolish as me... I would never forgive myself if you died in the Land of Wind...â she said, her heart quite shaken.
âI already told you I donât regret anything. Youâre someone precious to me, and I wouldnât hesitate to save you.â Minato spoke with a sincere tone as he touched her face.
Tsuna felt his touch as he tried to wipe her face, and she looked at him with a somewhat lost gaze in his blue eyes. âI know... itâs just...â she murmured, holding his hand against her face.
Things felt natural as they both looked at each other for a moment, entranced with one another, one on the shore and the other in the water.
Tsuna was moving her body on her own while feeling Minatoâs touch, getting closer to him, parting her lips.
âHm?!â Tsuna was startled when she felt her body suddenly moving forward as Minato pulled her into the water. âWhat are you doing?!â She barely had time to react and could only scream as Minato pulled her.
âYouâre not going to stay up there while Iâm in the water, join me!â Minato exclaimed with a smile, completely breaking the trance they were in.
âWhat are you doing, Minato?!â Tsuna was in a bad mood this time as she stood up in the water, splashing it around while pointing at Minato.
âHAHAHAHA!â Minato laughed, not caring that he had just broken a romantic moment.
âYou idiot! Idiot!!â she exclaimed furiously before punching the water so hard it splashed all over Minato, who was a little surprised by it.
âHey, you really want this?!â Minato laughed and began punching the water, sending it with force towards Tsuna, who was also surprised as the water hit her face before she threw another punch at the water.
âHaha.â She couldnât help but laugh, excited by everything, her mood changing as she looked at Minatoâs face.
"Hahaha." Minato also laughed before giving another splash and hitting her with water again. Both had strength beyond that of a normal human, and this resulted in a water fight that lasted for minutes, with both laughing at each other.
"..." Tsuna watched Minato laughing after they finished, while she looked at him with a bit of a pout. "Minato..." she murmured after things calmed down.
"Hm?" Minato looked at her.
"Do you remember my last words when I was poisoned... I donât remember very well what I said, I was delirious, you know..." Tsuna suddenly spoke with a deep blush, hiding most of her face in the water so she wouldn't have to face Minato, who was now smiling.
"So, I'm not loved by my friend... that's a little disappointing..." Minato said quite boldly to Tsuna.
"You remember!!" she exclaimed, startled, not knowing where to put her face. After all, she had opened up her feelings thinking it would be her only chance to confess to the one she loved. But, considering Minato's words, she quickly responded differently.
"Of course I love you... as a friend! But not like that... after all, you have Kushina..." she murmured at the end with a somewhat sad tone.
"Hm?" Tsuna was surprised once again as she saw Minato looking at her in the water, his expression calm, without that playful smile anymore.
"Tsuna..." he said, grabbing her by the waist and lifting her out of the water, returning to the same atmosphere they had before he playfully threw her in. She felt Minatoâs hand on her waist.
"I really want to know... do you truly love me? I mean, truly love me, to have a family, children, and live together for the rest of our lives?" he asked, his tone more serious now, while Tsuna froze.
"I..." She didnât know how to answer. What was the point of saying something like that... after all, there wouldnât be room in his heart. But could she deceive herself? "Yes... I do truly love you... But I know we canât be together..." she trembled, her lips quivering as her heart cracked a little at her last words.
"Who says so? I love you too, Tsuna, just as much as I love Kushina because Iâm a selfish man, and I want both of you in my life. The question I have is... would you accept a selfish man like me, who would have to be shared with other women? I know Iâm asking a lot, but this is who I am, and I donât want to live without either of you by my side," Minato said with a firm tone.
"Are you serious?" she murmured, looking into his eyes, not minding at all the way Minato was touching her body, her entire body language directed toward him.
"Yes... I want both of you. I know polygamy isnât common in the Leaf Village, but itâs not like it doesnât exist," he said.
Minato had thought a lot about this over the past few years. He didnât just love Kushina; he loved another woman as well. Was it selfish of him? Yes, but he didnât want to have to choose only one of them. He honestly desired to have multiple wives.
"I..." She tried to reason, but Tsuna couldnât help but think about the future Minato was proposing... He would have another wife... or maybe even more, considering how Mikoto and Hanabi looked at him. She clearly knew how much he attracted other women. But the desire to be with him... was seductive for her, to have his love by her side.
"Then promise me you wonât have more than four wives," she suddenly said, knowing that if Minato wasnât going to stay just with her, she couldnât deny other girls who loved him either.
"Four wives?!" Minato was a little taken aback by this.
"Yes, four wives. You know... I donât want you running around having tons of children... I want a husband, and if you want to have more women... let it be controlled, and you have to be responsible with your children. After all, I have to think about the kids!" she exclaimed, fumbling for an excuse, while Minato laughed at her reasoning.
"Hahahaha. Alright... I donât want to be with any woman I wonât marry. Four wives, maximum," Minato said, returning to a calm tone after laughing.
"Minato..." Tsuna felt her body being pulled closer to him, as Minato himself took the initiative to begin the contact with her.
"Tsuna... I want you to be my wife and the mother of my children," he said, knowing that it was inevitable now, since she had confessed that she loved him and after he had felt the fear of losing her. After all, he loved her too, and he felt it was his duty to her as her future husband.
"..." She couldnât have been redder than she was now, looking at Minato with a happy gaze as she found herself moving closer to him. She couldnât help but think about her future, with flashes of it passing through her mind like a movie.
"..." Minato let her come closer, allowing their lips to touch. He couldnât help but think that, despite them still being young to start a relationship, they also lived in a world where six-year-olds went to war to kill and die.
Of course, Minato wasnât thinking about anything physical yet, but he was solidifying his commitment to his future family and wife.
It wasnât their first kiss, but it was certainly the one they both took the initiative to have, as Tsuna kissed him deeply, trying to express everything she wanted to show Minato.
They parted a moment later, both drenched from the river, and Minato smiled at her, speaking his own words. "Tsuna, you are now my fiancée," he said.
"Fiancée?!" She was surprised.
"Yes, after all, if we are going to get married in the future, this is the official commitment to that," he replied.
"But you havenât even asked my parents for that yet!" she exclaimed, then looked back at him cautiously. "Second, what about Kushina? She certainly loves you, and will they accept this... you know... she's my family now too, and I donât want to hurt her..." she murmured.
"Youâre right about the engagement..." Minato admitted, thinking that he should speak with Tsunade and Dan to ask for Tsunaâs hand in marriage. "I was going to talk to your parents after this. Your mother arrived at the camp, and your father also participated in the attack on Suna, so letâs go," Minato said, while Tsuna, although a bit nervous, nodded, feeling very happy that Minato was taking the initiative for this.
"As for Kushina... Iâll talk to her. I donât doubt the village will summon me for a debriefing in person, so Iâll meet with Kushina after two years..." Minato murmured, as he hadnât been able to return to the village all this time.
"Yes... you can do that. After all, youâre a recognized hero now. I always knew you would become something like this one day, Minato..." she said with some admiration, especially since all of this had been because he wanted to save her from the brink of death.
"Itâs quite unexpected for me, but it doesnât matter now. Letâs talk to your parents... but I want to avoid the crowd again," he said, and she nodded, leaving the river with him as they headed back to the camp.

Raccoon Here:
I hope this romance feels natural. It's time for Minato to solidify his relationships.
