Ah, that makes sense with the game that Kamano didn’t show up for! Thanks for explaining that! And yes, I got that feeling about Nishida’s experience from what the show has shown us with his exposition, but still, as a coach, there is a way to “word things” appropriately, and he didn’t do that. Thanks for the comment – I’m sure he’ll learn more social cues on that front as we go and you all know I'll call it out if he doesn't! :P

He also has the most experience in tournaments. That's why he is very nonchalant about the strategy of using the weakest players as sacrificial pawns. I'm sure he's been a sacrificial pawn before too. We also have to remember that this is the norm for Japanese culture. You listen to your senpai, don't make waves, and pay your dues until you are the senpai. Standing out, specially at the cost of your senpai is negatively looked upon. This is also a common trope in Japanese sports manga/anime. Great reaction, as always!
