Naruto - Light Ninja - Capítulo 97 - Reports.

[Chapter Size: 1900 Words.]
Third Person PV
Land of Water.
...

...

"Hey, Naruto, why didn't you use that thing that makes everyone faint, what's the name of it again?" One of the ninjas holding one of the seven swordsmen of the mist asked Naruto, after all, if Naruto had done that, everything would have been easier.

"Conqueror's Haki. Because we weren’t there to kill anyone or win overwhelmingly. Besides, I want to avoid showing that to potential enemies, so they won't have access to more than just rumors..." Naruto said while being the only one walking on water, avoiding it.

"Naruto is right. What matters is that we succeeded in the rescue. Now we have to take these ninjas back to the village," Ao commented alongside the others.

Everyone fell silent as they continued advancing across the sea, but Naruto approached Akame, who looked much more tired. He picked her up and held her in his arms mid-air.

"You need to rest. You pushed yourself harder than anyone else," Naruto said.

"..." She didn’t respond, but she didn’t reject Naruto either, remaining relaxed in his arms.

Thus, they headed toward the village, seeing the Land of Water appear a moment later, with everyone focused solely on getting home.

The village appeared a few minutes later as they advanced toward the gate, where there was already a reception due to some border ninjas passing on some information in advance, with others escorting the group as soon as they entered the country.

"Take the injured to the hospital, but provide immediate assistance if anyone is severely wounded," Mei exclaimed to the medical ninjas and others present as they approached the former prisoners, picking them up and taking them for treatment.

"I'm glad you're all okay, which means the mission was a success," Mei said to the Mist swordsmen, Naruto, Akame, and Ao.

"Yes... it was a tougher fight than I imagined. Anyway, I'll leave the reports with Ao. I need to check on Akame," Naruto said, and before Mei could say anything, he vanished, heading to his home.

"..." Mei just watched as Naruto left without giving further explanation, merely sighing.

"Is he always like that?" Zabuza asked, watching Naruto act this way for the first time in front of him.

"You can't imagine, and there's nothing we can do... While Mei-sama has to take care of everything..." Chojuro muttered, embarrassed.

"Forget Naruto. Let’s go over your reports..." Mei said in the end.

Naruto went to his mansion, carrying Akame to her room and placing her on the bed. "Rest. When you're feeling better, take a bath," he said.

"I'm fine, just exhausted..." Akame commented.

"You're lying. I can feel your emotions. Your vision is blurry. We need to quickly find a solution for your eyes. Don’t use your Mangekyou anymore until we figure out how you can use your power without such a high price," Naruto said finally.

"..." Akame stayed silent as Naruto left the room. She would have asked him to stay with her, but with that look, it was clear Naruto would lock himself in the library to read everything he could about the Sharingan... all to help her.~

"Well... this will make the old folks stop questioning Naruto’s decision regarding the Sanbi..." Mei said in the end, since if Naruto had managed to summon it with Akame's help and make it fight alongside him, it was clear no one could complain about the idea of not sealing the Three-Tails into a jinchuuriki.

"Yes... Naruto accomplished that," Ao commented, affirming after witnessing everything.

"That's good... but Akame managed to defeat the Two-Tails... You mentioned her different eyes... Does the Sharingan have an evolution...?" Mei murmured, wondering.

"It's possible. I don’t know what that skeleton was, but Akame's eyes were different... I believe the Uchiha might have unique powers. I faced someone very dangerous from that clan during the Third Great Ninja War... Shisui Uchiha had a terrifying ability, controlling someone without them knowing when his eyes changed. He was the most dangerous ninja I ever fought..." Ao commented. They didn’t have much information about the Uchiha and their powers, but their analysis was quite plausible.

"The same could be said about the ninja who was manipulating the former Mizukage..." Mei said, looking at the hat on her desk. It was a bit concerning, with a group having such a powerful Kekkei Genkai. It was a shame Mei didn’t even know the true power of an Uchiha.

"I want everyone in my office. We need to have a meeting and make it clear to those old men not to question anything about Akame Uchiha and her abilities. It's quite possible that Naruto could start a massacre here, so we better make things clear before they make any suggestions..." Mei said.

Meanwhile, in Kumo, the ninjas finally arrived, carrying only Nii and more than eight fallen ninjas from the battle, while the Fourth Raikage waited for them at the entrance.

"B! What happened? Tell me immediately!" He demanded in a harsh tone, as if he was angry, which was common after seeing the ninjas he sent on what he thought was an easy mission, believing that Kiri wouldn’t send large forces. But seeing Killer B’s condition, the fallen ninjas, and even a defeated jinchuuriki, it was obvious he was wrong. However, sending B was a decision only he could make on the battlefield to aid the village.

"Lots of things, brother... Biju... a Mangekyou Sharingan... and the son of the Fourth Hokage..." B commented.

"What?!" A, the current Raikage, raised his eyebrow at this, not understanding.

"I think it’s better if we discuss this in a more private place, Raikage-Sama..." A blond man who worked in the village’s intelligence, known as C, suggested from the side.

"Fine..." The Raikage saw that the crowd was growing as they talked, so they needed to move to a more private location.

Only a few Jonin accompanied B to the Raikage’s building, while the Samui platoon headed to the Cloud Village hospital, along with the other ninjas, to assist the fallen like Nii and others.

"I want you to record everything that will be discussed here, Mabui." He instructed his assistant as A and C prepared to listen to the ninjas who had fought Kiri’s forces.

"Are you saying that the Cloud Village now has the son of the Fourth Hokage among them, while he wears a Kiri headband?!" He asked, clearly surprised.

"I’m saying, the guy is way too fast, I could barely keep up, I was impressed!" B said in his usual manner.

"So, he was Light all along... the Hokage’s son who disappeared many years ago... I wonder why he ran away from his home. After all, it doesn’t seem like he’s infiltrating Kiri with his background... what are his motivations?" C murmured, analyzing everything they had reported.

"He can still use a perfect Bijuu... that’s quite troubling..." A admitted. The elders of his village had wanted to take advantage of Kiri’s current state, but it seemed things wouldn’t be as easy as they had hoped...

"Alright... we’ll discuss this for the next few hours... It seems we should reconsider starting a war with Kiri..." The Raikage commented, sighing while simultaneously clenching his teeth.

As the conversation continued, days passed, and only the villages of Kiri and Kumo knew about the battle, trying to figure out how to proceed after what they had witnessed in this conflict.

Naruto was in the library of his home, reading everything he could over the past few days, trying to find any useful records about the Sharingan. Even when Utakata, who came to visit to see how he was after the chaos, barely had time to talk with Naruto before he asked him to bring a bunch of scrolls from the Mizukage's building. With no choice, Utakata went to the building, demanding the papers Naruto had requested.

A second person appeared in the library at that moment after Utakata left. Naruto looked at her as she approached, bringing some food and sitting beside him.

"I was the one in bad shape, but it’s you who needs help." She murmured, noticing that Naruto barely left the library to help her, with a small smile.

"Thank you." He said, accepting the food, as she curiously looked at his notes.

"Did you find anything?" she asked. Even though she kept urging Naruto not to push himself too hard, he was still persistent in trying to find something about the Sharingan and how to use it without harming her.

"There are only records of encounters with Uchiha who had special eyes and powers unlike anything anyone had ever seen, appearing here and there throughout history... but that's it. No one even cared to figure out how those eyes worked differently from the others," Naruto commented and continued.

"Even Itachi suffered from the same symptoms you have, using the same skeletal structure as you, with different abilities. That masked man seems to have a single different eye, but he still has special abilities and uses it freely, making us question whether using only that skeleton could harm them, or if there's a way to use those abilities without disadvantages." He finished, turning to her.

"Do you think the Uchiha clan has information on this?" Naruto asked.

"I never heard of a Sharingan beyond the three tomoe until the night of the massacre when my mother died and you saved me..." she said, a bitter taste in her voice. "I had never seen a Sharingan with different abilities. So no, no one ever spoke about this," Akame concluded.

"I see. However, Itachi was able to use that eye... Which makes me think there must be some record among the clan’s main scrolls. Danzo told me that only by suffering in the worst way could you awaken these eyes, but he didn't say anything about how to maintain them. So, we’ll have to figure it out ourselves," Naruto commented, analyzing everything he'd heard about the Sharingan from different people. The masked man must know, but he wouldn’t be someone easy to approach for questions. Not before he took the initiative and tried to kill Naruto once again, trying to ensure that a third encounter between them wouldn’t happen.

"Are you planning something?" she asked, watching Naruto as he seemed to be deep in thought.

"Yes. Soon, we’re going to Konoha, and we’ll enter the Uchiha clan. We’ll find that scroll..." Naruto said, and she nodded, still a bit surprised by this declaration.

"And your family?" she asked, knowing it was a sensitive subject for Naruto.

"I'll find them as soon as I know what's going on in Konoha..." Naruto replied finally, after all, he still had to look into Jill's investigation and Orochimaru's plans.

Meanwhile, to the west of the continent, in the middle of the Land of Fire, where the strongest village of all resided—its history of conflicts and wars since its founding, even fighting against two or sometimes all the nations simultaneously, yet still remaining strong—it was the richest country of all, and the Leaf Village was now hosting a major event that was about to begin: the Chunin Exams.

It was at this moment that a team escorted by Jonin from the Leaf Village finally approached the gates.

"So, this is where Naruto lived the early part of his life?" Kimimaro couldn’t help but ask.

After all, he had never been here, and his friend, who always protected him, had lived here, coming in and out of this village. And now, here he was, without Naruto, while he had a simple mission: gather enough information to deliver to the Mizukage of Kiri.
