My soul thanks you, haha! :D

Noted! :)

OMG -- hahaha, you gotta add a winky face to that so I know it's not a real spoiler! XD I was instantly nervous!

Romaniablack

Yeah, the telepathy thing is just a joke since they all reacted to Kagami. No spoiler or not! spoiler intended! :)

Hahaha, no worries! You can take your time commenting whenever! 🙂 But I like this style, here! With Himuro and Murisakibara, they’re practically a pair for me, now – I did like the angle with Himuro that it turns out he’s “ACTUALLY” average – it’s sad that he’s reached a wall he just can’t climb over. I will say that I’m liking Muri more and more as the series goes on – particularly because he’s a great foil for the VERY straight-laced Himuro. I also agree, him pointing out Kagami’s ridiculous eyebrows is such a win for his character! Hanamiya as “pure trash” is HILARIOUS - and if you are SMARMIER than Lelouch Vi Britannica…that…says…a lot. Damn. At least, like you said, “they got theirs.” I definitely feel Akashi is the psychopathic cousin to Hanamiya’s sociopath. *swings arms in a faux fun style* Let’s see how things go with his character in season 3! 😀 Alex is such a PHYSICAL person but I’m glad her relationship with Himuro and Kagami is more sister-motherly. If it were romantic, that’d be weird, with the age gap and all. I LOVE Midorima’s attitude development in the ShuToku game - it isn’t my favorite of the season, but it’s a close second and now, while I will ship MidoTaka and KagaKuro to the moooooooon, I…secretly (and will say this later), really like KagaMido! 😛TakaKuro is too gossip-girl for me, but I see it, too! I do really love the Ultimate Zone battle with Kagami and Aomine – it’s SO GOOD. Just so much ridiculous over-the-top hype! 😛 And Yosen’s game with Kagami’s “no” was so great, too! I also agree – I wanted MUCH more Kiyoshi and Murisakibara moments and was expecting it, but this show makes you think one thing is going to happen and then springs a thousand other things alongside it. Makes sense that Teppei, with all he’s gone through, didn’t do more than he did in this game, but I was hoping for it, too. Hey now – don’t be spoiling me by telling me that there IS a telepathic link - if you were being serious, I don’t want to be spoiled! T-T Thanks for the comment!

Romaniablack

Well that plan went well. Sorry for missing all of Season 2! I'm not going to do everything justice, so I'll just mention a few points: Himuro: I don't feel to much either way with him, but the whole "I won't be your brother anymore" rubs me the wrong way (although then we could ship KagaTastu ;) LOL). But I can only imagine how upset I'd be if I introduced my passion to someone and that person became enormously better at it than me. And unfortunately, Kagami was is a prodigy and Himuro is not; like Aomine said, he's the best an average person can get; although that *can* get you pretty far. Murasakibara: Attack on Titan meets basketball. I'll be honest and say he's my least-favorite GoM, but I don't *dislike* him. When you diagrammed all the GoM's, you pointed out that there is a lot of overlap between him and Aomine regarding how they feel about basketball. The main difference seems to be that Murasakibara can be provoked, while Aomine can't. He also gets props from me for pointing out that, yes, Kagami's eyebrows *are* ridiculous. :D Hanamiya: Pure trash. No redeeming features. The first person to truly p*ss off Kuroko. Almost a carbon copy personality of Lelouch from Code Geass, except even more smarmy. I don't see how Kiyoshi can speak to him calmly. And no, not even Imayoshi deserves him. :P :D Akashi: Man, Akashi and those scissors; Akashi is clearly a psychopath where Hanamiya is a sociopath. Neither are good, but at least Hanamiya understands he's trash. I feel Akashi doesn't understand human things like emotions. :D And how much power does he have, being able to tell Murasakibara not to play in the Inter-High. Like you said, cult leader. :D Alex: I like her, but don't have much to say about her. I wish we had some more time with her and little Himuro and Kagami. But let's calm down on the physical affection. XD V. Shutoku: Honestly my favorite game of the season. Midorima's change in attitude is everything to me. There being a tie game is suspect, but I could see it in a round robin-type bracket. And it means we get to see Shutoku later. And I know you're the admiral of KagaKuro and MidoTaka, but for me, the KagaMido and TakaKuro ships are real. :D V. Kirisaki Daiichi: How Hanamiya found a team of trash is beyond me. Maybe he just influenced him. But the true losers of this match are the refs. I would say "blind as a bat", but I think bats could do better. :D I'm just happy they got theirs. V. To'o: Best part of this game to me was the pre-game with stylin' Kagetora. I also think this is the game where we can stop trying to rationalize things and just suspend disbelief. Ignite Pass Kai, Zone; we've gone full sports Dragonball from here! V. Yosen: My second-favorite game. It answered the question, is there such a thing as 'useless effort'. Kagami answered for us: "No". I wish that a little more had been made of the interaction between Kiyoshi and Murasakibara. At the beginning of the season, Murasakibara said to him that "it may have been better if I hadn't remembered". Murasakibara made sure to follow through with that, but Kiyoshi in the end couldn't really respond in this game. Other things of note: There is some telepathic link between the GoM that allow them to recognize Kagami's "birth"?! Blond Hyuga! LOL! Don't, just don't. The hot springs episode was what shippers' dreams are made of, except for the peeping Toms (and Izuki, who was unjustly punished). Kagetora *has* to be a yakuza, and his nicknames are hilarious.

zeroantizero

I can definitely see that! You're not wrong -- I don't "mind" it as much, but that is a big difference in baseball and basketball -- baseball, from AoD anyway, is much more based on EVERYONE having to work as a unit because of the nature of the game, whereas Basketball has the potential in how it's set up to let those one or two players become standouts, like with the GoM players on their team.

Romaniablack

Thats why i find it weird lol. Like this show definitely draws a lot of attention to the idea of teamwork and it builds up the other players on the team as being good and helpful as well but I can't help but feel like a majority of these games depend on Kagami and Kuroko more than anyone else like if they're playing and doing well, they'll likely win regardless of how the rest are doing. That could be totally wrong still but it does come across like that

Kelsey

I DEFINITELY get the Free ED vibes from them! But yeah, no mermaid, sooooo! 😛”little Best Friend Forever necklaces” AHAHAHAHA I love that description, because it’s so true! I definitely feel the connection to Kuroko’s conversation with Aomine – MAN, does Kuroko have a TYPE! Teppei is an enigma and I love how he INSTANTLY confuses everyone haha! We love that about him! And yessss, Teppei and Kuroko have that brotherly relationship Kagami wants with Himuro, hahaha! Kagami’s confession that he’s choosing Kuroko over his “brother” is exactly that – it full cemented the ship for me and now, while I respect all other Kagami and Kuroko ships, this is the one for me! Give me that vanilla milkshake of a ship! Murisakibara’s beauty confounds me and will never cease to make me question the anime and why it’s making me feel things, hahaha! That moment about Murisakibara being better on offense was SO a “WELP” moment, too! AHAHA! Love the info on the mythology with the shield of Aegis, though! “Vice Claw” is such a Pokemon move – I mean it’s technically “Vice Grip,” and now I’m showing my Pokemon nerd knowledge. Angry Kuroko is such a mood and I LOVE it. And that note about Aomine is so true! I also want to see practice sessions where Araki taunts Murisakibara into practicing through candy. I really love how all the characters have matured throughout this series, whether it’s GoM members or our boys at Seiren. And how they support each other on and off the court, like with Kise and Aomine in this set? *chef’s kiss* And Kise not being surprised at the dunk? LOVE that smugness! Aomine just wants to play Kagami now and show him a “REAL” dunk! 😛 Himuro’s speech to Murisakibara was SO GOOD! I loved the emotion in it! And yeah, Murisakibara is like Midorima in that he’s a TOTAL tsundere, but even he softens at that speech. I love it. I’m also FLOORED that Ishikawa’s VA is both Kageyama AND Kaito – what range! I got really into these last moments hahaha! THAT ENDING! Loved itttttt! Murisakibara being the baby, but it’s so cute! :3 I also love that Kuroko flips the script and encourages Kagami to go after Himuro – but yeah, I can’t WAIT to hopefully see resolution soon with themmmm. Those end credits and End Cards were EVERYTHING this set! And Kise…has….quite a jaw. *ahem* That “shipping bench” gets me everytime, too! Oohhhh, good to know that Midorima wrote the team name above the doll! Thank you! That was bugging me, not knowing for sure! Honestly, I like that we have the cards in the Discord for everyone to see, so if it’s not a bother, that would be fine sending them there. 🙂If you can’t for some reason, I know I can get them off the episode – I’d just have to skip the preview. Thank you so much for the kind words and comment! SO EXCITED for the extras and season 3!

Romaniablack

Hahaha, it feels like a more "bratty" version of Aomine in a lot of ways, but I'm not sure it feels as "earned" to say as it does with Aomine, but I do like that he seems to have some of the same insecurities that Teppei explains in this game, so that's interesting! And I love that you get PROPER Capricorn representation in Araki! ;) Helps heal the wounds left by Hanamiya. :P And man...the idea that Kagami was taken down for the count by that hoop? What if he hadn't died but was out of commission the whole rest of the series...I guess they would have lost, probably. *phew* Good thing we're good! AHAHAHAHA "Thors Hammer" - that cyclone move was RIDICULOUS, but at this point, I'll accept the madness because it's so fun-spirited! :P Ahhh, I guess the theme is that everyone on the team matters? I would argue that Kuroko and Teppei had major roles to play, and so did Hyuga in this...without those four working in tandem and behind the scenes throughout the game (like Teppei getting Murisakibara to keep jumping throughout to weaken his legs), then it would have caused their loss too. I think Kagami is the most vocally acknowledged that he's needed - and he definitely is - but he couldn't have led Seiren to victory without Teppei, Kuroko, and Hyuga helping him. But I see your point! I'll have to bring this up in a future discussion! Ooohhh, I can understand sitting out the audio dramas and the song reactions if that's not your thing, but this week with the "special and bloopers," I would recommend those, because they're so goofy and BONKERS. :) Thanks so much for the kind words and comment!

Romaniablack

Right?! I am thoroughly convinced if he'd been a smidgeon earlier, we would have been DOOMED. I honestly can't believe some folks had to watch this WEEK TO WEEK -- it's crazy! And Kuroko getting the steal from MURISAKIBARA of all people is insane -- such a chef's kiss, YES! And Teppei the hero, yes! The idea that he caused that action over and over is a great point to make! :) I love our boys and am ready for season 3, too! Thank you for the comment!

Romaniablack

Unlucky, Murasakibara entered the zone too late otherwise they would had won. When i was watching the show for the first time, that week to week wait was painful. That last counter with 4 seconds left i knew Seirin was gonna win no matter what i just didnt know how and it was so cool how they made it so that Murasaki couldnt jump because all the jumping he had done thanks to Iron Heart Teppei early in the match, his hard work payed off and you know that outcome makes perfect sense because all of the generation of miracles guys are so full of them selves so they never train seriously so Murasaki legs gave up. That hero save of Kuroko at the end stopping a Murasaki that couldnt jump was a chefs kiss after all they arguing they have done and their different ideologies and it makes sense for Kuroko to had stop Murasaki as he has always believe in Kagami during their matches but he also has always believe in his previous teammates and it always pays off along with him never giving up. But the real hero of the match is Teppei that provoked Murasaki and forced him to jump over and over and over again, tired him and creating that opportunity at the end for Kuroko to block that las Murasaki shot Looking forward for when you start the third season.

OKA

It's funny to me that Murasakibara talks about basketball being a cruel sport and how he needs to teach them that when Murasakibara hasn't ever been dealt the cruel realities of basketball lol. Dude wins constantly. What does he know 🤣 Ah my capricorn queen Araki. She definitely isn't as involved with the players as the other teams but honestly, what a perfect representation of the stereotypical capricorn lol Imagine Kagami hadn't moved and that hoop just squashed him dead lol. End of Kurokos basketball, Kagami dies. What an ending. I dont know what this shows deal is with these super powers/pokemon attacks and giving everything weird names lol but this Murasakibara cyclone move was ridiculous. What do you mean "Thors Hammer"? Lol what kind of show is this. Certainly not a sports anime 😂😂 Something that I think I dont really love with this series is the plot armour/single talent saving thing going on. Like they establish pretty early that all these other team members are talented and they bring a lot to the table which is great, but ultimately Seirins victory lands on Kagamis shoulders always. The only game they've lost was a game that Kagami had to sit out for half of. I wish it wasn't so dependent on 1 player being in the game and actively working. Other than that, I can't wait to see you start season 3 in a few weeks lol and although I probably won't watch the reactions, I hope you enjoy all the extra stuff

Kelsey

Thank you! No, that makes sense -- I'm just avoiding all I can with him at this point, but I hope that made sense about what I meant in the discussion. Thanks!

Romaniablack

At this point in the series, we know practially nothing about Akashi, so I'm not really saying anything about him. This was more just me adding on to the point of the original comment that I resonated with. Sorry if that came off as spoiler-y.

Arjo

Ah, thank you for the information on the Replace Plus and that Akashi is set out to be a “professional Shogi player” in the “what if” scenario – that’s good to know and OH! I’ll have more on Midorima and Akashi from the Special next week when we get to it. Okay, so I think there’s a misunderstanding with what I said in the episode - obviously, I do NOT want to know anything about Akashi’s backstory at this point. I’ll find that out in good time and make my judgments on his character as we go. But what I was meaning was, it seems like Akashi has had a silver spoon and everything handed to him his entire life, and that winning has come easily...and I was thinking, “well, that’s not a reason to try and stab someone in the face because you’re not getting your way and having your perfect gathering with your old team.” If that makes sense? Without getting into my own personal life, I know the pressures and verbal abuse that can come with family expectations – I wasn’t trying to be insensitive about that, just pointing out that his personal upbringing wasn’t a reason to lash out at something messing with him not getting his way, which is how it seems in the moment during that encounter. Does that make sense? Apologies if my discussion came across as something else – I’m talking literally in the moment after watching a scene, so most of that is train of thought. I really liked this match but I liked Touou’s better. And I’m really excited for season 3, but I want to savor it, because it’s the last season, so I can wait a little longer before getting into it. HAHAHA, and I HEAR you about re-watching something and seeing an error; case in point – that misunderstanding in the discussion. Thanks for the comment!

Romaniablack

I definitely know what that feels like -- I'll have to explain myself in a discussion -- I wasn't meaning to say that being put up to high expectations isn't damaging (I was grounded in school if I got below an A on my grades up through high school, so I get the stress) and wasn't meaning to be dismissive...just that it seems like he's just privileged at this point and that's not a reason to shove scissors in someone's face, hahaha! I don't want to say too much more about him, because I feel I'm getting into spoiler territory with his backstory -- I just ask everyone be patient as I learn about his character. I am always open to change my mind as I learn more. I hope that makes sense.

Romaniablack

Seriously, Teppei is the sweetest character, but has the WORST enemies! I'm really excited to see Season 3, though! And I've watched a little of the extra content so far and it is FASCINATING! I'm loving it! But oooh, the "airwalking" - Now that you say that I know EXACTLY what you're talking about! And that is awesome that it's made its way into KNB's universe! NICE! :D Thank you for the kind words and comment! I've very excited for what's to come as well!

Romaniablack

'What If' careers definitely makes me think of the Free! ED...though none of them got put as a supernatural creature a la Haru the Mermaid 🤣 Kuroko totally missed out on a career as a poltergeist! I can't seem to find the official images, just a bunch of fanart. Though all the fanart is from pinterest and so I'm unsure if it's been posted by the actual fanartists so will just post the pics and not any links. The whole ring thing with Himuro I feel like is absolute teenage behaviour. The rings feel almost like the little Best Friends Forever necklaces I, and many people I know, had where they were two halves. And it's such a teenage strop to think of saying they won't hold any more meaning after such-and-such an event. Kagami being too kind though does make you understand (partially) why Himuro's so set on them no longer being brothers. As long as Kagami keeps the mindset of Himuro being his brother, a slither of him will always want to hold back. Reminds me a lot of Kuroko's conversation with Aomine during their Teiko days, and saying that no opponent wants the opposing team to go easy on them. Kiyoshi just switching up his roles and confusing the absolute heck out of Yosen! Really shows how multi-talented he is to be able to switch so effortlessly. And I love how spot-on Aomine is of analysing Kiyoshi, as well as the amount of respect he puts on our boy's plays! 😍 My heart breaks a little at Kagami's resolve, and Kuroko's immediate understanding what throwing out that ring means 🥺 Every set you really think they've given us shippers a lot, and then they go and raise the damn bar with a line like that from Kagami! KagaKuro flags are flying with Kagami choosing Kuroko over his brother!!! Like that's confession territory in some shoujo manga. And Kuroko's utter belief in Kagami! 🥰 I love Kagami changing from calling him Tatsuya to Himuro to really hammer home that he really has given up on their brotherhood. Such a tiny, simple thing but works so well! Kuroko noticing Kiyoshi about to fall and racing out to catch him just makes me feel all the things. I don't ship them romantically but I absolutely adore their senpai/kouhai relationship. Kuroko *shouting* his little heart out 🥺 Yup, totally fine. No tears here 😭 Okay now I have tears from laughing so hard at you asking why Murasakibara's so pretty and going super Saiyan 🤣 First time I watched this when Kuroko said Murasakibara is *better* on offence I went "Welp!" Seirin were already having a hard enough time with him just on defence. Nice little bit of mix with mythologies for Yosen. The Shield of Aegis is in reference to Greek and Roman mythology that was a symbol of power and protection. And then we get Murasakibara's signature move, Thor's Hammer, which is a nod to Norse mythology and Mjölnir which was Thor's devastating weapon of choice. Have to say Murasakibara's speech does hold some truth. Basketball is a type of sport that favours those with a physicality like Murasakibara's. It does make it one of those sports that's unfair. But he does have a steadfast belief that his size means he has an advantage and will therefore win. Gotta say I love the referee stuttering that there'd be a break. No-one was prepared for one of those big ass hoops to get wrecked like that. But it is such a great way to show just how much power and strength Murasakibara has. Like yes we've seen two hoops broken so far (by Kagami and Aomine), and a similar hoop creaking because of Kise. But we've never seen the force of a dunk causing the hinge of the arm to basically go "nope I'm out of here!" "Murasakibara used the Vice Claw" making him sound like a dang Pokemon! 😂 Kiyoshi being benched and his internal pain hurts too much. But then we get ANGRY Kuroko 🥰 Murasakibara played with Kuroko before, he should be just as aware as Aomine that you're gonna lose if you piss off the bluenette! I love we get the shot of Aomine when Kuroko says he acknowledges skill and natural talent. And when he says "However" there's just the barest shift in Aomine's expression. Feel like this helps place where this moment fits chronologically, along with the fact Aomine's attending practice. With his reaction Aomine's skill has started to really develop, but he's not gotten to the point of giving up just yet. Aomine is also very much the kind of person that thinks everyone has a right to their own opinion, but in order to prove yours is the 'right' opinion you need to have the strength to back up what you say. When it comes to basketball Kuroko and Murasakibara's complete opposite experiences means that they really can't empathise with one another. But with the mention that they get along off the court makes me want some slice-of-life moments with the two of them 😂 Though this is yet another example of Murasakibara and Aomine being opposites. Aomine, back when they were at Teiko, said that he and Kuroko got along really well with basketball, but were very different from one another off the court (i.e. likely didn't have any common interests outside of basketball). Araki reminds me so much of some of my great aunts when she was wielding her shinai. Only for them it was the wooden spoon. Some of my great aunts are considered to be on the shorter side in my family at 5' 5" and have children that reached 6' when they were teenagers. They said the wooden spoon meant they didn't hurt their hands 😆 Araki I feel uses the carrot and stick method with her players, especially Murasakibara. Give him sweets/food when he's good, rap him with the shinai when he misbehaves! Kiyoshi's realisation of how dependable his teammates are 🥺 Yes he wants to protect them, but they're strong enough to be able to fight themselves and protect *him* 🥰 Nice parallel of Murasakibara getting hit because he's angry, and Kiyoshi getting hit because he's a little bit slow on the realisation that he has a good team. They really amped you up for a Kiyoshi-Murasakibara showdown but there's no obvious hints of Kuroko vs. Murasakibara. I love foreshadowing (don't think you can be a fan of Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's works if you're not 😅) but I also like surprises like this. Romania: Why do we need three minutes? Me: For three minutes in heaven 🤭 Kise's talk with Kagami is just *chef's kiss* I love it. He really is Seirin's #1 Fanboy 🥰 He did such a good job at looking down on Kagami enough to make him realise his mistake. Hyuuga being all "wait, what" because Kagami is being *rational* is hilarious. Our blockhead from the beginning of this series really has matured so much! Zone baby!!! Aomine is totally proud of Kagami for not being an idiot and trying to force his way into the Zone 🥰 Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It's Kagami in the Zone! And now he's just showing off, being like Midorima with that turn after shooting the three. The montage behind Kagami for that dunk I love seeing everyone's reactions. Seirin are all so happy. Yosen, Momoi, and Alex are all either shocked or pissed. Aomine looks a bit annoyed. But Kise? No surprise on his face at all 🥰 We've already established in this show that when the level-headed characters start throwing punches you know the other person is being a bit of an ass. Though gotta say that I think Himuro's right hook is a lot stronger than Kuroko's was. Taniyama Kishou had my absolute heart with Himuro's speech to Murasakibara. He did such a good job with voicing Himuro's mix of emotions. Murasakibara's voice softened after Himuro started crying 🥺 Yet he's still gotta be a bit of an ass by calling Himuro repulsive. Though it could be taken as Himuro in that moment isn't acting like himself; he's being way too hot-blooded for Murasakibara. Those words are enough for Himuro to seemingly get his head back in the game, considering how he plays afterwards. Murasakibara with his hair thrown up into a messy ponytail is just too effortlessly beautiful. Himuro being able to pass Kuroko by using a fake shows just how good his fakes are. I mean back in Middle School Aomine couldn't fake out Kuroko, and Kuroko's improved on his ability to read other players since then. Murasakibara passing to Himuro instead of trying (and potentially) failing to blast through Kagami 🥺 Kuroko being shocked never fails to make me laugh. He wanted to make the Generation of Miracles acknowledge his style of basketball and to enjoy the game again. Can't be calling foul now when Murasakibara makes such a change towards the end of their game. I honestly feel so bad for Fukui. He's the shortest of the Yosen regulars and their point guard. In this one match our little team has switched point guards between three players, with two of them being taller than Fukui. I honestly struggle to hear Ishikawa Kaito's voice for Fukui; it sounds nothing like most of his other characters that I know (i.e. Kageyama from Haikyuu!! and Kaito from Tsurune, for the ones you would know). Seirin are all so happy about Kiyoshi's return to the court, but Hyuuga feels like he's the happiest because he's usually such a tsundere and yet he's got a massive smile on his face and sparkling eyes. I mean that reaction from the same guy that got all flustered about giving Kiyoshi a high five... Murasakibara's comment about crushing Kiyoshi basically makes Kiyoshi a cockroach. Try and try and try again but Kiyoshi keeps on fighting and playing. You really looked like you wanted to shove Araki back down on to the bench when you said "Araki, sit down!" 😂 But yeah the last points for this game definitely have you on the edge of your seat. Everyone being proud of Kagami for having yet another trick up his sleeve 🥰 But the final point being the shortest player on the court blocking the tallest...god I love it! Then Kise being a fanboy over Kuroko, all the smiles, and the head-pat!!! Murasakibara playing until the end because of Himuro...and during that he was able to tap into the Zone. It's love! 🥰😂 But when he started crying, nope. Never fails to not make me tear up a little and first time watching it was this moment that made me like him quite a bit 😭 We can't end the season without seeing another of Midorima's lucky items. Also Murasakibara is obviously still crying but him holding his hand out for an umaibo...he really is the baby of Yosen's team 🥺 The after credits scene is such a role reversal. Before it's been Kagami pushing for communication. But this time it's Kuroko speaking up and helping Kagami through his issue with Himuro 🥰 I love that you don't have to wait for the relationship between Alex and Himuro to be repaired...just might have to wait to see what the resolution is between Kagami and Himuro. Hey, but at least it wasn't a cliffhanger on who won this game? I definitely agree that I wouldn't call Aomine a tsundere. He can have moments when he acts like a tsundere, but he's much more open with his feelings than Midorima or Murasakibara. Honestly I'd say Murasakibara is more of a tsundere than Midorima is; at least than how the current Midorima is. Midorima has changed since Shuutoku first lost to Seirin. He now smiles sometimes when playing with his team. He's still got that gruff side to him, but I don't think the walls are up as much as when he was first introduced. Then you've got Kise who is a puppy. He just emotes constantly; whether that's in a positive or negative way. Romania: Midorima is just a snob. I feel like Midorima would correct you there and say "I just have *standards*" 🤣 The stare-off between Midorima and Akashi really makes me think of that part in Weird Al Yankovic's song Trapped in the Drive-Thru. There really is so much with the extra scenes in the endings. Mitobe being the one to try and calm down Midorima makes me laugh. I just imagine Takao out of shot curled up on the ground laughing so hard his sides hurt. Yes to Aomine being a dog person 🥺🥰 But also yes, his creative addition to their mural is a big boobed stick figure...The main thing from that scene I've gotta know though is: how the heck Kise is holding that can in his mouth?? In the group shot you've got Mitobe gazing up at Koganei 🥺 And Kagami uncaring about any of the ones behind him wanting the damn picture took already; his boyfriend isn't ready so everyone else just has to WAIT! But I *adore* Aomine with Nigou. It's too adorable. They do really love posing with that bench, don't they? And yet all the End Cards with that bench are quite different and each holds a different meaning. The Murasakibara and Kuroko End Card is definitely up there as one of my favourites. The final End Card for Season 2 doubles as both an End Card and an ending for the extra scenes with the ED. Each of the schools has their name on the wall now, except Rakuzan. Takao wrote Shuutoku above Midorima's daruma doll (just can't see the rest of it behind the backboard). The black and yellow in the top left-hand corner is Kaijo. Then Touou is at the bottom with red and white. Seirin is the biggest on the end at the other side. And Yousen up top on the right in purple. Crunchyroll has Season 3's End Cards, but they're after the preview so I can keep sending you the End Cards if you'd prefer. Fantastic reaction and discussion as always. I look forward to the Extras for Season 2 😄

I like this match a lot. It's probably my third or fourth favorite in the whole series (I haven't thought about it enough to say definitively). That scene of Murasakibara picking Kiyoshi off the ground was burned on my mind for weeks after I first watched it, it was certainly a jaw-drop moment for me. Murasakibara and Hanamiya can now bond over their shared experience of antagonizing Kiyoshi. Fun fact: I'm not sure how familiar you are with the NBA, but the term "Airwalking" is a reference to Michael Jordan's dunk in the 1987 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, where he dunked from the free-throw line (similar to Kagami) and for a moment he looked like he was floating in the air. I like the idea that this also happened in the KnB universe, but they treat it like some sort of myth. Looking forward to Season 3! It's my favorite season (surprise, surprise, my favorite character is in it). But I'll also be looking out for the extra content since that's unexplored territory for me (for the most part), so that'll be fun.

Not to stray away from the actual Kuroko discussion but... As far as the whole "having to be perfect" thing, my sister had those expectations and pressure put on her growing up (she always placed number 1 in classes, and was always expected to), and all I can say is that from her experiences, it's definitely a real problem and not something to be dismissive about.

The "Kuroko no basket replace plus" is a manga illustration for the light novels, that are named after the novels called "kuroko no basket replace" The thing is though I don't remember if ALL of the novels were in the manga, or just a few of the novels. The "what if..." with the careers, is not an actual series. It's just an art by the mangaka with a "what if x character was x career" subtext. And Akashi IS NOT an heir, even tho maybe he's that too. But he would be a professional shogi player. (these can be found in the guidebook "character bible", which is why I didn't really think you should have been told that, since you're going to read the book I think? But I'd rather clear up misunderstanding like that because what the f-) I wasn't sure If I want to mention this, it's NOT a spoiler, since I'm not sure how to word this properly, but it kept bothering me so I think I should address it. When you said: "maybe the Akashi storyline is he's like 'I've always grown up having to be perfect and never been able to lose' and I'm like cry me river first world problems" IF someone was raised in an environment where they grew up "having to be perfect" That's straight up an abusive. And like, I'm not talking about the "potential Akashi background" But like in general, fictional characters and real people. It's okay to dislike characters, but giving that attitude to a potentially abusive background was... Very insensitive? (I really hope I used that word correctly since I just looked it up in the dictionary) "is there akashi x midorima ship" yes :) Weird to think that this is the finale already!! And I cannot wait at all for the s3 content, even tho before that we have like 3 weeks of fun stuff. !!! (But I'm also impatient because s3 is my fav season) :)))) :) Is it weird to say though, that I don't overall care for this match for some reason? Like Murasakibara is my 3rd fav GoM member (below Midorima and Akashi) But this match was kinda whatever? for me? But maybe it's just because Apart, from Murasakibara and Himuro,, the rest of the team doesn't really matter to me, they were kinda plain and very forgettable? Well, who knows. Time to set our sights towards the extra content then! Can't wait to watch the audio dramas with you while I'm gonna notice every single mistake I did with the editing, but didn't notice when I was proof watching them :D Fun times.
