OH MY! So many images this reaction! We dive into not only Chapter 89 of the TGCF Manhua, but also Chapters 107-109, as the mystery with the Reverend of Empty Words takes a TURN! We've had ghost stories and exchanging phone numbers, but now...TRUTH OR DARE?! Both the best and WORST thing to happen with our double-date in Fu Gu!
These chapters were romantic chaos but that CLIFFHANGER?! It's too soon, MXTX! TOO SOON!

Hahahaha, yeah, Hua Cheng was actually pretty nice to Guzi -- maybe there's hope! Oooohhh, and Kise would SO get along with the Wind Master, I feel! <3 And yes, as long as MXTX keeps giving us scary, tense scenes -- we can keep combatting them with cheesy 90's/00's music. :)

Also yeah, Midorima would definitely be unable to deal with Shi Qingxuan. I feel like if they'd met though it might be on a similar vibe as Midorima and Kise. Yeah some of the younger ones might not have gotten such a reference. Glad I'm not the only one to have thought it though. Such thoughts help to alleviate the concern/fear the line is actually trying to dredge up.

Hmmm…although, he doesn’t seem to care for kids…but maybe it’s just Lang Ying, hahaha! I’ll have to keep a closer eye out, now! “Flirting outrageously” was not where I thought we’d be starting volume 4, but it checks out fine with me. Also, I kind of want and NEVER want to play truth or dare with the Wind Master – it would be fun to watch, but not fun to play with them! I can DEFINITELY see the animosity towards QR based on how they influenced the riotous behavior against XL. That “worst suffering” line from him was HEARTBREAKING. And then Xie Lian sad about the second ascension…angst ALL AROUND! And OMG YES, Takao and Ming Yi are clearly birds of a feather! Midorima would probably HATE the Wind Master, though…unless they could help him get lucky items. I love how much XL is a friend to SQ though! And yes, HC is all about proving he has the biggest…sword…in the area. *ahem* But I love that XL is no slouch and super strong as well! I am glad I WASN’T THE ONLY ONE THINKING OF SHAGGY with that line! HAHAHAHA – I didn’t want to say anything…because I didn’t think anyone would get the reference. *bows* That is good to know the manwha will still be available on Billibilli – I deleted my app for now, but once the issues start coming back, I’ll be excited to get back into it! And I saw that the Bilibili app put out Chapter 89 after I had recorded the reaction...I guess they are having another translation team do it? I deleted the app from my phone, so I guess when they start the next set of chapters, I can re-add it because I am SO excited to see the manhua come back! Thanks for the comment!

Ahahaha, I love that description of the squad that didn't realize the con was this weekend! :P And HA! Yes, we skipped in truth or dare straight to the 1 am conversations that no sober person needs to be having with one another...*shake fist* indeed at the range that MXTX gives us in ONE conversation! And HA! Ming Yi's face at the strip, not wanting ANYWHERE near them, while the Wind Master is hooping and hollering...too perfect! Thank you for the kind words and comment! The bloody fire social thing is a real type of show still performed today in some parts of China, but make sure that you can stomach it before looking it up because the pics can be more than a bit bloody and violent…… Clearly the story about scholar he is a key to something although we don't know yet what's the lock to be opened...and about the sound of this surname, since I'm not so good in English I failed to find a totally correct sound for it, but I think the 'ho' sound is close to its actual pronunciation in Chinese. HC is just having so much fun playing with his veggies and makes sure he stays in this observing position while the three gods investigate the case but is also more than willing to help XL when the latter asked him to test out MY. MXTX: this arc is going to be a detective case with horror...but why don't we also include a game of truth and dare and some stripping? And right after this I'll add loads of foreshadowing about the tragic backstory of our beloved protagonist, some more horror and my most preferred ending: a nice big cliffhanger! About the manhua, since chapter 89 is also on bilibili apps now, I think it's just that they decided to have another translation team rather than dropping this entirely? And I just cannot wait to see Fang Xin Guoshi official manhua design when Starember's back with more stunning art!

2023-03-07 18:31:35 +0000 UTCyay, I love these chapters so much! MXTX has such a talent for rollercoastering us from horror to humour to creepiness to romance to everything all at once. It's so enjoyable. The Bloody Fire Social totally reminds me of a cosplay parade. The squad are totally those people who didn't know a convention was on one weekend and are just SO confused at everyone in costume riding the train. And ahh, truth or date is so funny too. It's like a high school party. Shi Qingxuan really went from 0 to 100 STRAIGHT AWAY. They're totally that friend who just thinks it's funny to make people who are crushing on each other do embarrassing shit. But also I feel like the INTENSE questions from both shi qingxuan and ming yi are like when everyone gets drunk and existential at the end of the night hahaha. and there goes MXTX's "haha funny stripping, now cry from the angst and romance of it all, while also being epically mysterious and teasing you". *shakes fist* and of course, xie lian and hua cheng thinking they're being furtive texting each other with heart eyes and shi qingxuan standing there like "yall everyone can see you have each other's conversation open on your phones". I also love that art in the sevenseas book, the difference between Shi Qingxuan and Ming Yi's reaction to the stripping scene is priceless <3 love the reaction as usual and can't wait for next week!

2023-03-07 03:15:08 +0000 UTCMo Xiang Tong Xiu just throwing in special effect make-up artists 😂 Just a little pronunciation bit; the scholar named He his surname would be pronounced more as 'Huh' than 'Hee' I believe. Xie Lian relating to the story of the scholar because of their similar circumstances regarding luck 😭 I love lackadaisical Hua Cheng, but the idea of him making his food into a smiley face always kills me. Though it does add another tick in his column on potentially being a good Dad. The bickering of Ming Yi and Shi Qingxuan feels like a palate cleanser after the almost frantic feeling of the Wind Master scouring for the Reverend. As does Shi Qingxuan guessing (correctly) that HuaLian are currently in each others' DMs *flirting* outrageously. Really started this set out with a gory SFX festival and it leads (somehow) to spin the bottle truth or dare only with dice...I love how unpredictable Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's works are 😂 I'll never not smile at Shi Qingxuan originally finding the splitting of teams unfair because of Hua Cheng's good luck, but then immediately happy when it's proven just how bad Xie Lian's luck is. But they seem like one of the worst people to play truth or dare with considering the first dare 🤣 When I first read Hua Cheng's "I forgot just now" I immediately thought, "You forgot because you were replaying that moment of divesting Xie Lian of his outer layer, weren't you?" And Hua Cheng's worst suffering in the world never fails to make tears prick my eyes. Also adds even more understanding to why he hates Qi Rong so much seeing as Xie Lian's cousin helped lead some of the ridicule against Hua Cheng's beloved. Xie Lian getting lost in his thoughts momentarily just by mentioning his Second Ascension 🥺 Ming Yi denying, once again, to being Shi Qingxuan's best friend. Also Ming Yi protecting Shi Qingxuan when he's unable to hear. Yeaaaah, so not friends at all(!) I reckon Ming Yi and Takao would get along, considering they both sit on a throne of lies! 🤣 "We're here for you" 🥺🥺🥺 Xie Lian and Shi Qingxuan's friendship is just too sweet. Even in the midst of chaos you should know by now that Hua Cheng's gotta prove who's got the bigger...*sword* 🤣 Xie Lian is strooooong 🥰😍 And so is Hua Cheng. Love me a power duo. Such a simple way to do it but has a great affect on making you feel Goosebumps: "That wasn't me". Out of context of Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's amazing writing however it reminds me of the song by Shaggy 😅 It's definitely a love/hate relationship with Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's cliffhangers. But the cliffhangers can be so bad that it means that other shows/books/anime the cliffhangers don't feel half as bad. For the manhua Bilbili are still going to be having an English translation (we believe). It's that the translation team that were originally doing it there was some issue between them and Bilibili [I'm unaware of the exact details] and so their team will no longer be affiliated with the Bilbili translations. As to Chapter 89, Lang Qianqiu - specifically when up against Hua Cheng - makes me think of a golden retriever cosplaying as a lion 🤣

The more the name is shared on social media the more likely it is to get taken down. PS if you have an account you can change how you can view the comic so things don't get cut off :) (or at least less often).
