I am SO SO SO happy that we only have to wait until July for Season 5 because -- HOLY SMOKES, after the cliffhanger of this season, I NEED IT!
This episode had a LOT of reveals, a LOT of development, and a LOT of unresolved tension, threads, questions that I'm so excited to dive deeper into once we get to season 5! In the meantime, I'll be doing a reaction to the manga for these last few episodes in a few weeks' time! I can't wait! It's been a WILD ride so far!

There is SO MUCH info left to find out about Sigma, and you bring up so many good questions! I can't wait to see what Season 5 gives us on him AND Akutagawa -- I'm like you, how did we manage not finding ANYTHING out on him this season!? Incredible! It's just mindblowing, but I'm glad we just have to wait until July to learn more! Thanks so much for the comment!

2023-04-09 04:08:17 +0000 UTCI'm hoping that the manga expands upon (I'll be reacting to it when you do!) how exactly Fyodor found Sigma in this...random church?? We know he found him however long ago (3 years?) and he was created from the BOOK, but the Decay of Angels needed his ability to find the PAGE. So I guess the DoA weren't the ones to create him? 4th organization maybe? No clue. Sigma Found--->stuff happens--->use his ability to find the page/he loses his memory(?)---->sky casino comes about---->profit. Not seeing Akutagawa this entire season was flabbergasting. I expected him to show up at any moment honestly. When Fyodor said that the Sky Casino was the only thing like Sigma I figured it was because they were both written by the book/page. That honestly might be why he has such a strong connection to it outside of Fyodor just manipulating our boi.

A veteran VA for a crazy role like that! Glad - despite all odds - that he's seemingly back in the game! And Thank you so much! I'm leaving at the end of this week, so getting some last minute things in order! I will be VERY happy to return to get to the manga, though! :)

I mean, the VA really did a great job voicing him. It's exactly what I imagined how it sounded when reading the manga. Anyway, have a nice trip:)). I just love how it's taken the characters we've come to love these last three seasons and dialed everything up to an 11 with them! :) The characters I liked such as Ranpo and Rukuzawa and Ango I gained even more of an appreciation for -- and then Atsushi, our BEAN! I love him and he continues to grow on me! The Dazai and Fyodor confrontation has been MASTERFUL -- I just love it this season, and their banter calling back and answering to that of season 3's? *chef's kiss* Thank you for the kind word and comment! I can't wait until Season 5!

2023-04-02 01:57:30 +0000 UTCI haven't read the manga and I'm not intending to do so any time soon. What I know is that I LOVED this season, including the last two episodes (especially 13). The characterization and the dialogue are so masterful, better than the vast majority of anime in my opinion. The parallel between the Dazai-Fyodor conversation about God and Tachihara's realization was perfect, my favorite part. Plus, Atsushi was elevated in my eyes. Another point I'd like to bring for the season as a whole is that I came to love supporting characters like Ranpo, Fukuzawa, Yosano, Francis, Ango, etc. Every season adds an extra layer in their characters, although the cast is large.
