The sun is setting on the first half of season 2, and things are already changing: Sverkel is taking a turn for the worse, Thorfinn is getting into the Gospel, and there's a new redhead in town and all I can say is: I'm so sorry, Einar. But at least this keeps my Thorfinn x Einar ship alive, right? Right?! **nervous chuckle**
I thought Canute was going to be the worst of our problems...but this new dude, Gardar, might give us a run for our money, too. Hm.

The introduction of snake its him sleeping while reading the same bible! so he definetly has an interest for it. he as askeladd seems to have a very contradictory nature to his character. Makes sense in a very patriarchal world where men are not supposed to show that kind of interest, specially warriors. so he refuses to show weakness, only his actions show his internal conflict
