Oohhh, Y'ALL, we're at the halfway point and this episode was both fantastic in terms of animation, fan service, and character development, but also TENSE AS ALL GET OUT -- I was soooooo anxious during Ruthvern's scene with Noe...who....OH MY GOSH...talk about a grenade being set up?!
I am SO hyped for the second half of this series, but also SO tense and nervous! On the one hand, we may get more shipping with Vanitas and Noe out of all these developments...BUT AT WHAT COST?!

SO much romantic subtext from Olivier and Roland to Noe and Vanitas and the TERROR with what's happened with Ruthvern! I am SO nervous with what's to come but I love how the story is setting things up and the humor of course was MUCH-NEEDED levity! Oohhhh, thank you SO MUCH for the correction translation; that was bugging me SO. MUCH. But I have no clue why they didn't include the part about her parents -- I will definitely note that in a future discussion. Thank you so much! :)

The scene with Ruthven and Noe was so beautifully done, the butterflies were so pretty and well animated, the shots were so creepy and disconcerning and the background music was so fitting and so good for setting the mood of that scene!! It was all so well working together!! And that first shot of tea leaking out from the broken cup looking like blood in that red light just 👌 I also ship OliverXRoland so much!!! They are so good together!! The whole scene that was happening in Noe's head was so funny. Him going like "I'm hungry!!" was so funny XDD I loved when opening started playing when Noe was thinking of Vanitas and all the times he spend with him, WITH ALL OF THOSE LYRICS WITH ROMANTIC SUBTEXT XDD Not subtle at all show. Also, Noe was so cute!! Him covering his face and swinging his legs was soooo "teenage girl with a crush". Also, translation thing! I don't know why they didn't translate it when it was right there, but when Ruthven was talking to Jeanne what he said was "Eric and Louise, omae no ryoshin,..." which means "Eric and Loise, your parents,...". I don't know why they choose to leave that out.
