This story has already won me over with the character dynamics being set up, the mystery of the fantasy world-building, but y'all: Griffith and Castra have my heart already! I am SO curious about their characters and this rag tag group of young mercerneries: The Band of the Hawk!
Not to mention the mystery surrounding our protagonist, Guts, and the traumas he's dealt and is currently dealing with! I can't wait to see more!

It is assumed Rickert is a orphan that the band of the hawk took in. Joining a mercenary band is a great deal for a orphan 900 years ago. And sadly, even today it could be considered a good option. Better then hunger or abuse.
