I was FLOORED by how many clones he had! Holy cow! Ahhh, that's a really cool point about the comparison with Bai Jing and Ling Wen -- I could see that! And yessssss, that parallel with YY to the moon and QY to the sun! <3 That's soooo good! I'll have to bring that up in my next discussion! Thanks for that and the comment!

I feel Hua Cheng would be very good at not giving away the plot for anything he’s already watched. The fact that he got XL touching his forehead, in his arms, in such close proximity – if only Pei Ming could see THIS! Seriously, HC’s patience at XL’s innocence is worthy of an award. That’s a REALLY good comparison with JC and WWX between them, just with more possible romance subtext (if you want it haha). That’s a great quotation to describe the situation as well. Hmmm, I’m not sure if it would have been “better” with QY meeting XL instead of YY; I’m sure XL would have treated him with just as much compassion, but I’m not sure if Mu Qing wouldn’t have been like Jian Yu in this scenario (I guess it depends on WHEN Qi Ying met him), and if it was down the road, Hua Cheng may have been annoyed if Qi Ying got attached to HIS Xie Lian; probably better in the long run he falls for Yin Yu? 😛 Who knows! Hahaha, but that is fun to think about! Ooohhhh, I hadn’t thought about Black Water’s clones all getting to eat! @.@ And HA! I guess you wouldn’t know about the acting academy if you didn’t go, right? Thanks for the comment and kind words!

2023-07-20 17:04:46 +0000 UTCI totally forgot about the fact that He Xuan had so many clones and I almost choked on my coffee lol. This might be a bit of a random stretch but Quan Yizhen and Yin Yu kind of remind me of Ling Wen and Bai Jing in a vague way. Both Bai Jing and Quan Yizhen were known for their martial might and had the potential to ascend. Ling Wen gave Bai Jing his name instead of insulting his intellect by using the insulting nickname Xiao Bai and Yin Yu showed sympathy for Yizhen. Oh, and I think Yizhen is such a bundle of sunshine. And since Yin Yu's title is the Waning Moon officer, it paints a nice contrast.

Since his love is curious, he acts as the person who already knows the plot but still pretends it's his first time watching when the other party asked for a movie-night. The entire time during 'movie night' XL's inside HC's arms, their forehead touching and XL even got his eyes closed. But still HC didn't make any move! OMG, can they stop being polite and admit their feelings to each other already? The story between QYZ and YY is super sad and neither of them is to blame. It's kinda like the relationship between WWX and JC, one trying his best to achieve great while the other can reach the same height without much effort. "If your friend fails, you feel bad. But if your friend comes in first, you feel worse."--Three Idiots Jian Yu's name can be literally translated as 'appraisal of jade', and iirc he's like a junior in the clan to YY. I'm not sure where, but I think it's mentioned in these chapters that YY is the head disciple of the clan. If only QYZ has met XL rather than YY, things might be different...but you can never ask for everything. And given QYZ's inability to read the air and eagerness to defend the person he likes; I doubt if he's with XL then QR get to live long. Black Water: having 50+ clones in the heavenly realm to spy on the majority of heavenly officials Also Black Water: getting to eat 100+ meals per day as 50+ clones With so many clones roaming the heavenly realm, no wonder JW cannot find anyone capable and was wanting to go to mount Tonglu himself. So HX can have 50+ different clones with different personalities spying the heavenly realm and perform as the Earth Master for centuries without anyone noticing, meanwhile HC used a skin that's 90% his original look and also wearing red as a 'disguise' to approach XL......Guess someone's not paying attention on acting courses while studying in the Tonglu Supreme Academy ROFL
