TRIGUN: Episodes 13 & 14 Early Access Reaction!

A large portion of Episode 13 was a recap, so I decided to go ahead and watch Episode 14 as well -- which was a GREAT idea, because while we still got new information in Episode 13, both episodes focus on Meryl and her quest to gain better understanding of Vash and herself! These were GREAT episodes and a nice way to spring-board us into the second half of the season!

This recap and Episode 14 was SO GOOD! I love the framing of Meryl ass this pseudo narrator in the story and how it sets up for her to be an important figure in the series! :) She's not just "there" off to the side; it's great! I cannot WAIT to see what the second half of this series has in store for us! Thank you for the comment!

2023-07-28 16:49:37 +0000 UTCI enjoy an occasional long running series, but the 26 episode format was always my favorite. The chances of there being useless filler is much lower and the mid-run recaps are often integrated better in terms of servicing the story. In Trigun’s case, I always liked the framing of Meryl writing her reports and reflecting on the events. It makes in-world sense, and serves to reinforce already established characters and sets up new character arcs. I’m not really saying anything that you haven’t already touched on, but I always liked it in this show.
