Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: Episode 7 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

**MECHANICAL HEADPHONE WARNINGS**

So one part of this episode was a classic 90's shonen battle anime cranked up to an ELEVEN with the frantic animation...and the other half was the opening of a "True Crimes" documentary!

We're ALREADY at Shibuya?! We DON'T get confirmation on things?! Gege, are you TRYING to destroy me already?! Y'all...this does not bode well!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: Episode 7 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Comments

Ah, thank you so much! This last week and this coming week, I’m going low key! Gotta ramp up to the good stuff, right? @_@ That would make sense that they could still work with Todo and Mei, just not on missions for supervising and determining if they’re first grade! Thanks for that explanation! Oh wow, yeah, the reference to the funeral procession in Free! This one makes sense, and I agree with the comparison to the S1OP2 procession – this OP definitely has a more “spiritual” vibe to it! Mahito is just MONSTROUS and creepy all around! Just looking like all the animals, eh? That’s a cool comparison of Muta’s mech..but yeah, Muta giving off ALL the death flags! I do love he was drawing inspiration from her – any moment with him thinking of her or her talking to the mechamaru version of him was so sad! 🙁 But seriously, MAPPA. GEGE. We need to talk about that non-confirmation! You know the manga readers are just laughing! That is a good point about the nail! Someone else on Patreon pointed that out, too! The entire Shibuya scene was just EERIE – definitely setting the tone and stage for this arc! Thanks for the info on Kusakabe and his VA! I do remember him now – but yeah, Poor Panda! Maybe Yaga has a reason behind it? That’s interesting about Hikarie the skyscraper, too! I’m worried about Ino, obviously, but Maki’s group concerns me as well - the old Zenin man doesn’t look “experienced” like the other group leaders and we know Nobara and Maki have weak points…an yes, the Zenin clan talking down to Maki’s status seems…sadly on point for them. But yes! Give us Birdemic with Mei Mei! 😛 That’s all interesting about the “eras” in this, too! Thank you for that info! I’ll have to bring it up in a future episode! And thanks for the comment and kind words! No worries, now, right? No worries at all….

Love your Muta cosplay! Looked fantastic. Plus no annoying wig and wig net for you this week! I think they can still work with Todo and Mei Mei in other situations, just for the specific missions they're sent on to decide if they're suitable for becoming a First Grade sorcerer Todo and Mei Mei (as the recommending jujutsu sorcerers) can't be their "supervising adult" 🤣 The second OP for Season 1 also had a similar feel of a more Western funeral with how they were walking with the black umbrellas up and Gojo walking without an umbrella and carrying the flowers. With the procession in this OP it reminds me of the funeral procession Makoto and Haru witnessed as kids in Free! A poncho has to be the least menacing outfit for a villain to wear and yet Mahito manages to still be utterly creepy and terrifying in it. When Muta did the finger gun for his technique it made me think of Geto doing the sae when he was fighting against Toji in the basement of Jujutsu High. Also with his wings, Mahito reminded me of the fight he had with Itadori after killing Junpei but also of a harpy. The design of Muta's big Mechamaru kind of reminded me of the two Special Grade curses we saw in Season 1 that had both ingested Sukuna's fingers. At other times, such as the leap in the air after blowing up Mahito's arm, the mech design honestly reminded me a lot of Predator, the extra-terrestrial warrior, from the Predator movie franchise. Romania: Oh honey don't say that now...that's like death flags Mahito: Domain Expansion That moment had me reacting the same way as you 😂 So previously, with the Star Religious Group we were told they were founded in the Nara era. The Heian (pronounced like Hey-an) period was directly after this era until 1185. It's intriguing that in Jujutsu Kaisen this era was full of fierce cursed spirits and curse users when this period of time was considered to be relatively peaceful on a national level with the name Heian (平安) even meaning peace in Japanese. It could be Akutami's nod to how whilst a somewhat peaceful era it did lead to poverty for the majority of citizens as the nobility ruling Japan were incompetent at ruling. It was also when the military class within society rose through the ranks of power, as well as the national culture to develop more over that of Chinese-influenced cultures that were the more widely known/popular prior. This whole time Muta's been watching Miwa and seeing her technique (and the girl herself), and he used it to try and win. But I just knew he was being too overconfident in that moment and was waiting for Mahito to pop up behind him like a bad penny. My heart broke for Miwa talking about how they all held each other at arm's length because of the high risk of death...especially after seeing Nanami and Geto hurting so bad after Haibara's death in the past arc 😭 I was confused about the nail with the cursed wrapping around it at first, but added in with Geto's words about having completed the veil, I think it's similar to what Juzo (the curse user that wanted to make Gojo into a coatrack) used to create the veil that kept Gojo out as he hammered a nail into the ground first before saying the spiel that's always said when creating a veil. From having been in Shibuya, the moment I saw the litter lying on the ground and the complete silence panic stations went off inside my head 🤣 The woman dressed as (I think) Wonder Woman being able to see the veil being lowered reminded me of the girl at Junpei's school noticing the veil there when no-one else could see it. Just slowly ramping up the tension and fear. Especially with all those people on Shibuya Scramble Crossing getting sucked up into the train station and no information given about them. Kusakabe and Kong have very similar looks out of all the characters. Kusakabe did appear briefly in the movie I believe, during the Night Parade when Geto unleashed the 1000 curse spirits. I don't think you'll recognise his seiyuu, Miki Shinichiro, but he voice Urahara in Bleach and Kagetora in Kuroko no Basuke, among others 🥰 I also find it interesting that Panda's evaluation for promotion has been postponed, whereas it said Fushiguro, Ino, Maki, and Kugisaki are all under evaluation for promotion. Hikarie, which Kusakabe mentions, is a skyscraper connected to Shibuya train station and is a building made up of eleven floors for retail, a theatre spread across five floors, and the other floors (I think about seventeen) are office space if I remember properly. Gojo getting sent in alone made me flashback to Nanami's words have Haibara's death. I just thought it was his grief talking, I didn't think it was any kind of foreshadowing flag. The look on your face with them leaving us with NO knowledge about Muta really looked like you wanted to have a nice friendly chat with Akutami and MAPPA 🤣 In the second ED from Season 1 it was Itadori taking all the pictures and videoing them all happy and carefree. All the maybe's about Muta made me laugh but also nod along in agreement. Us anime-onlies are just left unknowing on his fate this episode! So evil. No body then there's always still that hope of the character still being alive in some manner or form. I laughed at your Star Trek reference with you saying Ino (and other characters) seem like a red shirt 😂 The match-ups are definitely very intriguing and making me look forward to some character interactions. Though I am a bit worried about Maki and Kugisaki with the Zenin Clan leader. I know you were just joking, but the reason for Maki's low status is because of the clout the Zenin Clan hold, which I like Akutami using as a reason for her lower status (even when she's an absolute badass and should definitely be of a higher level) because it feels like a nice little bit of commentary on the misogynistic opinions that the Zenin Clan were said to believe in in Season 1. I was completely on board with wanting to see Mei Mei's Domain (if she has one) until your suggestion that it be just like Hitchcock's The Birds...yeah I can live without Akutami and MAPPA doing a rendering of that and making it ten times creepier than it already is 🤣

Anime Annie

I'm a manga reader but I'm really excited to see how things will be shown in the anime! Can't wait for the next episode to come out. I love hearing all your theories about what's to come, you have so many great ideas.
