Yes, thank you for the clarification on Tenma only being on the run for a year -- I meant that it's been 10 years since he saved Johan and the Liebert murders were. And yeah, I was thinking Tenma was in his late twenties at the START of he series, and this is 10 years since then, which is where I was confused. My cousin is actually a brain surgeon and was one by his early 30's so it's not unheard of. I actually need to see if he's seen this series. And yes, memory is an integral part of this series! I am sorry that you had a traumatic childhood; thanks for sharing that and for the comment!

2023-09-17 03:23:08 +0000 UTCIt’s actually confirmed Tenma would be late 30’s right. I believe it’s 37. You have to think that he was a full surgeon even back in the 80’s. Also I love how much memory is played around with in this series. In particular childhood memories. Grimmer’s outburst really affected me first time I watched it. I unfortunately had a pretty traumatic childhood and it’s astonishing how much the brain can repress to ‘save’ you but then just one lil trigger, and suddenly an avalanche of the information can overwhelm you. Also trying to pierce it together is beyond a nightmare. And please do correct me if I’m wrong but I think you may have misunderstood something this epsiode (and I believe you also mentioned it in the last one) but Tenma has only been on the run for around a year at this point not 10 years. Remember the events of episodes 1-3 were in the mid 80’s and we are still in the mid 90’s now. Nina and Johan are still 20-21 etc. Lunge definitely suspected him of the killings for those 10 years but Tenma wasn’t on the run in that time.
