SERIOUSLY – I was floored! And mannnn, Kuon took that plan from Chigiri and went RUNNING with it! Yeah, you know that there’s betrayal on the table but for it to be here like this like THAT NOW is just insane! That sucks that you were spoiled ahead of time! And yesssss, I do like that Raichi/Kunigami dynamic, too! Yeah, I HAD to apologize to Raichi after that betrayal by Kuon! Ahhhh, I’ve been wanting to know what “A Hat Trick” is but that makes sense now! Thank you! Ad thank you – I loooove Isagi trying to persuade Chigiri – SUCH A SHIPPABLE MOMENT – add him to the harem! 😛 I LOVE that conversation about Isagi motivating his teammates to get in the game and Isagi taking risks himself, relying on his own skill and team, but Kuon just betrayed them. Yessss, VERY much like a social experiment! I’ll have to bring this up in a future discussion! ;) Thank you for the comment and kind words!

I found it amusing in the previous eps that you were kind of speculating Chigiri to be hiding his weapon and analyzing everyone’s weapons and weaknesses in order to use it against them later to get ahead. Well whatever the case, Kuon’s one step ahead 🤣 I just checked my reaction to the previous ep in my old text conversations. I literally said, “This ep was TOO wholesome. I’m not ready for when they start betraying each other again” (referring to the chaos and sabotaging in ep 3). I had the premonition that things were going to stop going so smoothly, but I did not expect a betrayal to happen the NEXT ep 😭 Just as we were getting comfortable with the team and the series, this ep reminded us that this is Blue Lock and shook up the team dynamic. A few days before ep 6 released, I unfortunately got spoiled about Kuon’s betrayal on Twitter, but I still really enjoyed the ep and its buildup and shocking plot twist. I think I would’ve realized that something was up when after Team W scored, Team Z got to kickoff, and Kuon did a slow, unexpected back pass to Isagi which got stolen by a Wanima bro. That was just such a bad play to me that I can relate to how Raichi reacted. I like how Kunigami and Raichi represent the opposite ends of the spectrum when responding to their teammates’ mistakes. Kunigami tried to reassure Kuon and forgave his mistake, while Raichi berated Kuon. I can respect Raichi for holding Kuon responsible. He’s like saying, “What’s the point of scoring these goals if you’re going to foolishly cost the team goals?” And Raichi’s anger ended up being justified as we learned of the betrayal lol. RAICHI WAS RIGHT!! I appreciate the apologies you made to Raichi haha Btw Kuon yelled “A hat trick” after scoring the third goal because a hat trick is when a player scores 3 goals in a single game. I enjoyed your discussions about Ego, Kuon, and also tsundere Chigiri! Isagi saying, “To me, you are the Chigiri Hyoma of Team Z! … Who cares about your past? What I want to see is your present.” WOW what a beautiful line, and shippable indeed. I think an interesting comparison between Isagi and Kuon in this episode is their difference in how they respond to their own desperation to win and survive. Knowing how important winning this match is, Isagi’s been persistent in trying to motivate Chigiri to get in the game and Isagi also was willing to take risks and borderline foul his opponents. He’s continued to rely on his own skill and his team. In contrast, Kuon casted all that aside and resorted to betraying as an attempt to guarantee his own survival. Blue Lock kinda feels like a social experiment to see how people would react in these intense situations haha.
