Lightning strikes ALL AROUND this episode, as Megumi and Toji square off; Jogo and Sukuna face one another; Kusakabe and Panda bide their time with distractions...and things could not be more INSANE!
I was NOT ready for the revelations and results of these fights this episode...all I can think for our heroes, though, at THIS point is: *chuckles* We're in DANGER.

And yeah, where do we go with the villains? But I'm sure Gege has plenty waiting in the wings for us! Sukuna is just a BEAST -- Oh....well....I actually didn't want to know anything about Uraume until I knew more (like whether they were a curse or not) PLEASE DON'T TELL ME what they are...but...I would have rather not have known anything about them until we were further into their character...but...can't be helped now. Just please, DO NOT give any more fan book data unless I request it in the discussions. Thanks.

2023-11-18 13:58:32 +0000 UTCMegumi must feel so confused, this random really strong person just killed themselves after asking for his name xD Poor Jogo, I feel bad for Jogo, he is strong but had the misfortune (or luck depending how someone sees it) to literally fight the two strongest people in Jujutsu Kaisen and it’s crazy to think besides Mahito and Fake-Geto…all our villains that were introduced last season are dead, like what’s going to happen after all this?? But Sukuna is on another level, he literally burned a curse made of fire to death… Oh and fun fact, it’s never mentioned anywhere besides the fanbook but Uraume was Sukuna's cook and they could cook human flesh the best….great to know Sukuna was also a Cannibal, guess we shouldn’t be surprised lol Anyway…nothing seems to be going good for either side. Excited for next episode ^^

They REALLY went all out this episode and I agree, it’s one of my favorites so far! Toji was insane!! And I was REALLY feeling for Megumi (and his bunnies) throughout this episode! Agreed, Toji has a LOT of flaws, but at the end of the day, he does care about his son. It’s sad how self-loathing he is, but I could not have predicted how he chose to go out this episode! It is heartbreaking, especially because Megumi has no clue that was his dad…ugh. That laugh with Sukuna…I’ve re-watched that scene maybe a little more than I would care to admit. I’m SURE Suwabe is having fun voicing Sukuna! He’s definitely terrifying! And yes, indifference is TRULY the opposite of love. He found the TRUE ZONE! NOOOO! ;) UGH….Shoko smoking again was really sad in hindsight. It’s interesting that the curses to “reincarnate” and reform…hm. You actually made me think of something IMPORTANT that I will have to bring up next discussion! HUZZAH!!

The animation was sooo gorgeous this episode!! They really went all out with it and how everything was so fast paced and quick! I loved every second of it and I think that in the terms of movement animation, this might have been the best episode this season!! Also. I love how in this episode we gotten the confirmation that Toji really likes using his mouth XD Speaking of Toji, he's been positively terrifying this episode. It was less oblivious with Dagan (probably bc he was several times stronger than Megumi and could fight slightly better), but the constant, unending flow of blows and attacks from Toji, not giving Megumi even a second to breathe was soo terrifying. Toji literally went full on terminator mode. ANslo him just kinda poking the rocks in the direction of the bunnies and them just EXPLODING was such a scene. THE SPEED!! Loved how even thought this episode made clear that Toji was in no way a good person, he still cared about Megumi. Toji was in some serious in denial about how much he cared abut Megumi. The repetition of "its not like I care", like its a mantra he has to repeat to himself, to make himself truly believe it to give up Megumi to the Zenin clan. But also. The amount of self hatred and self doubt Toji must have had to see himself as a worse option than his clan... Especially since he should know all to well how Zenin's are, with him being so similar to Maki... Its very heartbreaking to see just how badly Toji thought about himself as a person. hbhsfvb I feel so bad for Megumi here bc one second he is literally on the verge of death by this terrifying, seemingly unstoppable murder machine and the next he is witnessing that same man committing suicide in front of him and THEN changing into another man entirely after his death. Poor megumi must be so confused by it all XDD And that "WTF???" face he made gave off that feeling perfectly XDD Also. Sukuna in this episode was absolutely unhinged. I got such shivers when they did that scene where the pan off to different buildings with only Sukuna's laugh being heard. It was such a chilling scene. (I bet Suwabe must have had so much fun voicing Sukuna this episode XD) Also. Sukuna playing with people and lives, being so nonchalantly cruel and without a singe care who lives and who dies... He is the scariest villain to me because of that. Because he seems to be totally indifferent to any sort of suffering or death. If they die, they die, if not then not. He just doesn't care. He just does what amuses him the most. And that for me is thousand times more scary than hatred. UCHKECBJHEKBFW NOT THE SUKUNA BEING REINCARNATED AOMINE XDDD That made me laugh so much!!! Shoko returning to smoking bc it reminds her of her high school days... Of loosing Geto... I wonder if she already knows about Gojo getting sealed. I love the comparison Kusakabe brought up here that to special grade sorcerers and curses, the rest of jujutsu users are just like ants. Because its just like that! Its like if a natural disaster has rolled up on you. And well. You can't fight a natural disaster. Also, you mentioned that Jogo believes in reincarnation, but Jogo knows that for certain curses, reincarnation is real! It was mentioned in the past that disaster curses don't permanently die and they just reform after some time, just not exactly as the same being as they been before but with the same core. I only started reading manga after Shibuya ended but yeah, season 1 was happening at the same time as the Shibuya arc in manga! Also. Its very interesting that except of Hanami getting exploded by Gojo, all the loses the "villain" side suffered were because their infighting. Dadan getting taken out by Tojo (who was summoned by enemy sorcerer), Jogo taken out by Sukuna, Tojo taken out by himself. Basically, only person who got defeated by the good side and not by some sort of complication is Hanami and even that was a very pyrrhic victory ending with Gojo getting sealed. So. Thats fun.
