I was originally just going to read Chapters 239-241, but NO -- after seven volumes of cliffhangers...NO MORE! ONE WAS ENOUGH!
I can't begin to describe the emotions these five chapters induce at the climax of the story...except to say...it's GLORIOUS! We still have half a novel left, and I am SO HAPPY! But I hope you all get to fangirl like I did with these chapters and the beauty that is HUALIAN! Cheers, y'all!

Thank you for the kind words and comment! The fact that MXTX ends most of her battles as domestic family squabbles is….hilarious and makes you just melt into the floor, right?! And of course! XL’s bamboo hat is like Ash Ketchum’s hat – you can’t get rid of that hat! I don’t blame anyone for not getting math – I’m right there with them, hahaha! Oohhh, great description of JW, too, hahaa!! And yessss, that would make sense that XL now has luck to get all the things! Yay!! And OH, HX was probably perfectly satisfied being the only supreme left because he didn’t have that debt to worry about… poor him, HC ain’t going to let him have that! XD AND YAY!!! Now for the end game and the extras! I’m so excited! 😀

I’m so glad that at least HC fulfilled his promise!! But yes, I love that XL defeated Jun Wu with his busking skills that he was talked down for and then kept that kindness in his heart despite that to “literally” save him some face in his death. T-T MXTX, such a great writer! Thank you for the kind words and comment!

2024-01-14 19:21:00 +0000 UTCRemember in the black water arc, when He Xuan was still acting as the Reverend of Empty Words, he told Xie Lian (who was switching soul with SQX) this: "Don't worry, with your eyes wide open, you will watch the person coming to seek you die before you". Then Xie Lian was so scared of his words for the first time and shouted at He Xuan to shut up. Well... He Xuan jinxed this, is all I can say 😂 Luckily for us Hua Cheng will always try to come back no matter what. I really really love the detail of Xie Lian defeating Jun Wu with his busking skills, and then putting his bamboo hat on Jun Wu's head. He keeps passing on that kindness that used to save him 🥺

In the end we finally have this epic battle/domestic violence case between the 2000+ year old father, the 800+ year old son and his equaly 800+ year old boyfriend as the desparate mother/guoshi is trying to talk it down. Somehow after all the running, jumping, fighting, getting his head bashed, XL still has his bamboo hat on him......that's one very tough hat. It's been more than 2000 years if we date back to the era of the WuYong prince, and somehow there isn't one single god who ascended because they can really do math? Math too hard for everyone confirmed. LW is that employee who sneaked back to the company on weekends to retrieve a package, got caught and was placed to work extra shifts...... With the cursed shackle gone, XL finally has enough luck and money to afford cow and wagon for his scrap collecting business! I wonder as the only other supreme left, would black water be happy that HC has returned or he'd be dissapointed bc if HC is gone he didn't need to pay back his debt ROFL Volume 8 cover scene unlocked! Hooray!
