This movie started out with a plot line I theorized but expanded on it in ways I could NOT have imagined! Definitely a film that I feel will be divisive for folks, so it'll be interesting to talk about in the comments down below, but definitely one that was not "romantic" in a way I expected but definitely is going to leave an impression on me!

I LOVE how we saw Haruki's character develop and how subtle but noticeable it was over time. Thank you again and I'm excited to watch more movies in the future!

2024-02-27 03:23:59 +0000 UTCThank you Romania for giving me an excuse to re-watch this movie with you. I had first seen this movie in theatres during it's US release and absolutely loved it. I believe I may have missed the after credit scene so that was also a pleasant surprise! One aspect early on in the movie that I was worried about was Haruki being a bit of a "blank slate/boring" main character but especially this time through I appreciate the subtler aspects of his character coming through and how much those small things change over the course of the runtime. Looking forward to future movie reactions!

Im going to put another movie out there to check out, if you havent watched it: Maquia (or Sayonara no Asa ni Yakusoku no Hana wo Kazarou) [Hope nobody mentioned it before since there is only 1 message on discord, as far as I can see] (I didnt mention it one the last poll since I dont really think of it as a romance movie, but im gonna say no more).

I will say, remember when I commented that some of the choices in the poll were excellent anime movies, but did not think I would ever want to watch again. This was one of those movies. It is such an excellent movie, but it hurt my heart so much watching it the first time that I just do not want to watch it again. Don't get me wrong, it has its wonderful and interesting moments, but it is also so sad and can be hard to watch. There are certain anime and anime movies that I have watched and recommend to everyone, but they are ones that I cannot rewatch personally. Have a great day!
