V chose to stay with Panam for 6 months, traveling with her, but didn't survive and ended up dying far from Night City as a nobody. Perhaps he became a legend, maybe Afterlife put a drink named after him on the menu, he didn't know, it didn't matter anymore, because in the end, he would just disappear. Or so he thought when darkness took his sight as he felt his heartbeat stop on his visual monitor. Suddenly, he wakes up in an apartment alone, with a massive headache.

"What is this?! Is this the afterlife?!" He growls.

"Hm? Why does my voice sound so different?!" He wonders as he feels his voice much younger than it used to be.

"What the hell is this?!" A new voice emerged beside V, and he looks around bewildered.

"Johnny!!!" V exclaims, startled, after 6 months without seeing this guy, how he appeared after his death.

"Hm?!" Johnny Silverhand shook his head and looked towards the person who called him. "Who are you?!" He asked with a hostile tone.

"What do you mean, who am I, Johnny? It's V! You're not supposed to be here, I died!" V complains, trying to maintain his sanity.

"V? Look at yourself, you're not the V I knew, you've become a boy." Johnny said, a bit surprised.

V looked at his hands, seeing that his hand was very different from what he remembered, there was an ID next to him, with the name of a boy wearing a yellow jacket in the photo.

"David Martinez? What's going on here?!" He exclaims, bewildered.
