Third Person POV
Dursleys' House
...
...
Amid the turmoil of London, people led a quiet and quite ordinary life, living in houses side by side, navigating through work, study, and family life. This could be said of the Dursleys, who saw their life among Mr. Dursley's work routine, Dudley's school life, and Petunia's domestic life, trying to live normally—or so they wished.
It was evening as the family was all gathered, seeing the three of them like this, they seemed like a loving and happy family. They had just finished dinner while Dudley's parents were reading his school report card, marking the end of the first term at his primary school.
"Very well done, my boy!" Mr. Dursley said proudly as the boy scored a 6 on his report card, at risk of going into recovery since the passing grade was 7.
"You did very well, my son, tomorrow your mother will talk to your teacher to raise your grade to a 7." Petunia spoke proudly as her son ate ice cream as a reward while getting all messy.
"Thank you!" He said, eating even more of the ice cream without his parents being able to control how much he ate, finishing the whole plate.
"Eat it all, my son." In the end, they smiled proudly at him while one hugged the other side-looking at their dear Dudley. Meanwhile, not far from that happy and festive environment, inside a door under the staircase, there was a boy who was there, unnoticed by the elders, as he looked at his report card with a candle left for him.
"I got an 8!" He celebrated quietly, but there was only himself to share his joy, yet he felt some happiness as he adjusted his glasses.
However, this was shattered as soon as he heard a booming voice from outside, as his uncle called him with a tone of hostility.
"Harry, come here!" Mr. Dursley shouted at the door, banging hard against it.
"Let's go to bed, my little one!" Petunia said clinging to her son who seemed to want more ice cream while his mouth was dirty, passing by her husband calling Harry and starting to go upstairs.
Meanwhile, the door opened with Harry looking cautiously at his uncle through his glasses.
Unlike his uncle, who maintained the hostility. "You have a dirty dish to wash!" He pointed to the container his son left after eating ice cream. "Go to the kitchen and wash it!" he shouted, while the other two family members didn't care going upstairs, finding that very normal. Harry was a shy and intimidated boy, as he ended up nodding fearfully to his uncle and exiting the staircase to go to the kitchen while his uncle nodded, seeming satisfied.
"Do make sure everything is clean and if I wake up tomorrow and it's not as it should be, you won't have breakfast, are we clear?" He growled as the little Harry looked at him nodding fearfully.
"That's right, don't forget to tidy everything up and turn off the lights." He said and turned to go upstairs to join his family.
Harry turned to the kitchen and saw not just one container, but three, with Dudley finding it disgusting to eat from the most used one, he dirtied three of them.
Harry sighed but picked up the containers, which were glass bowls, and began to wash them along with the other utensils that his cousin dirtied.
"Harry Potter! Are you still in the kitchen?!" Harry shrunk as he finished cleaning at the sink, and quickly put things away before his uncle would take away his breakfast for it.
He finished up and turned off the light going back under the staircase, but not before hearing his uncle muttering from upstairs. "Freak." He said making Harry shrink for the fifth time that night and entered the room, even though it was late, he laid down while hugging the pillow sadly about that.
"Tomorrow I'll be 10 years old... Could I possibly leave here sooner...?" He murmured, yet still afraid to face the world alone when he knows nothing about it yet.
The next day, he woke up to a hostile knock on the door again. "Wake up and make breakfast for us!" He heard his uncle and rubbed his eyes getting up, before opening the door and going to the kitchen as his uncle went to get the newspaper. He prepared the coffee that he had been making since he was 8 years old after his uncle had the idea of forcing him to do it every day, and began to prepare it as Dudley and Petunia finally woke up and joined the table.
"Get your things and disappear." Petunia told little Harry with a look of disgust, while the boy just nodded, taking his stuff and going towards the staircase.
He passed by his uncle and entered the place while his uncle's family maintained the facade of a happy family at the table, yet Harry as always was left aside.
He ate and began to get ready, leaving the staircase to put his dish in the sink. Mr. Dursley was preparing to take a tidy Dudley to school, while Harry was also leaving, today would be his last day being 9 years old, hoping for better things to start from age 10, but this hopeful thought was broken when his uncle called his attention once again.
"Let's go, it's time for you to go to class, come with daddy!" Mr. Dursley said to his son and turned to his nephew and growled. "I don't want to see any complaints from the school saying you're late. Catch the bus on time and don't be late!" he said while taking his son to his car to drive him to school.
Harry just nodded, not saying anything more, after all, his uncle and cousin hated him and treated him like a pest, he was useful and remembered only when convenient for them. But Harry was too young to understand all this and thought it was normal, unfortunately. It was strange, this relationship between them, but that was their lifestyle, while his son was treated with love even doing wrong things, Harry didn't have a hint of that.
Harry had to leave alone, while Mrs. Dursley looked at him at the door with half-closed eyes after waving to her husband and son leaving by car, practically ordering him to go away. Then, Harry began to walk to the bus stop, waiting for the school bus to arrive. After a while, the bus stopped and he got on, passing between the students who were causing some ruckus or talking among themselves, and sat down without speaking to anyone. In the end, he had no friends either. And so he went to school, entering with the other students in the classroom.
School was normal, he continued alone, while his cousin had many friends who liked to intimidate Harry, who could only accept it without complaining, after all his uncles would avenge him if the teacher complained about Dudley's behavior as happened a few times, and Harry knew it would be worse if he suffered at home.
After a regular day at school, while he paid attention to be at least good in basic subjects, class ended and he went to the bus stop while Mr. Dursleys had left work to pick up Dudley early.
Harry returned home and while his uncle's family gathered as a happy family again, although it seemed very strange, Harry returned to his little room, waiting for dinner time to get his food. He killed time reading some books, until his uncles shouted at him to get his food.
He came out of his place and quickly grabbed his plate before returning to the spot, finishing, his uncle shouted for him to come back to wash the dishes while he left and his uncles went back upstairs while Potter was finishing cleaning the table and washing the dishes.
'I'll do like my cousin...' He took a candle as soon as he finished, knowing that none of his birthdays had ever been celebrated and always watched secretly or when the Dursleys tried to maintain appearances for their neighbors, Harry stayed far away watching while his cousin always blew out a candle making a wish.
He returned to the room and looked at a small clock he had, seeing the time and waited until midnight, when it reached this time, he lit the candle a few minutes before and closed his eyes when the hand hit midnight, ending the day and entering Harry's birthday.
He blew out the candle, making a wish. 'I want to change my life!' He said, he could have wished for his parents back, which was what he wanted the most, but since the Dursleys kept saying that his parents abandoned him, he wished for something more possible.
He was a child, there wasn't much to ask with his childish mind, but something happened at that moment. The candle he had extinguished began to catch fire again and increase the flames, scaring the boy, while suddenly he felt a severe headache, not in his scar, but in his frontal cortex, as the candle went out again.
He fell with that pain, writhing, while trying not to make noise, but he couldn't bear it as he hit the wall, however, instead of his uncles waking up with the sound of Harry, they woke up with a lightning striking the yard, Harry was in so much pain that he couldn't hear anything.
"Mom! Dad!" Little Dudley ran to them at that moment, and more lightning began to fall down the street, not just scaring the Dursleys, but the whole neighborhood went on alert.
Lightning!
Lightning!
Lightning!
Lightning!
"What is this, Vernon!?" Petunia exclaimed in fear as she hugged her son in bed.
"I don't know!! Some weather phenomenon or something!" He murmured with some fear too.
CRAAACKK
"AHHHH! I want this to stop!! Make it stop, dad!" Little Dudley exclaimed in fear after a lightning struck the roof of the house.
The lightning continued to fall as cars began to trigger their alarms while that whole side of the city was enveloped in a lightning storm never seen before.
Meanwhile, Potter continued to writhe in his small space, strange images began to circle his mind, he saw a strange and gigantic castle.
He saw peculiar classes with people waving wands and doing odd things.
He saw people performing magic.
He saw dragons, hippogriffs, Graphorns, a phoenix, and many other strange and magical animals.
He saw, as if it were him doing magic.
He fought against goblins, dark wizards, animals and monsters.
He saw that he had a power called ancestral magic.
He used this power fighting against a sick person named Ranrok.
He saw himself fighting in a final battle against Ranrok after absorbing a great amount of ancestral magic like his.
In the end, he won but died absorbing all that power.
Harry Potter saw an entire life of someone who lived more than 100 years ago, no, it was as if he were the reincarnation of that person from more than 100 years ago, as if the hero who had fought in the Ranrok rebellion had returned as Harry Potter.
After that, Harry Potter fell into a deep darkness and fainted, while the lightning outside the house began to stop, calming down as if nothing had happened there.
