As someone that likes a "bad boy" character with a heart of gold, this healing priest who drinks, smokes, gambles, and has a thing for older women...might just be checking off the boxes for Romania! Sein, you are a beautiful man and I'm so happy you're here! This episode was HILARIOUS and FANTASTIC!

Yesssss, I can so see how easily it is to get lost in your hermitude (hello quarantine 2020) and not get out or feel it's even necessary! Flamme trying to get Frieren out of her shell -- and hahahahaha -- Frieren's been a hermit so long, she's lost track of how powerful such a move could be. 2024-04-14 13:31:01 +0000 UTCThis episode reframes Frieren's (1000) years after Flamme, it wasn't only her hiding from the world getting stronger to fight demonkind and/or king, somewhere along the way she did somewhat lose herself to it. I guess if you pretend to be a hermit for hundreds of years at some point you are in fact just a real hermit. We got an inkling with the potion that removes clothes but apparently Flamme was really this vile temptress teaching Frieren all kinds of lewd and deviant behaviors. To think that Frieren would put on such a salacious and depraved display... in the middle of town in the middle of the day, the youngsters were obviously scared for life. Thank the Godess that Sein is such a pious man of the cloth that he cold withstand an attack from such dark arts.

It was a fun, cozy episode, where the main characters just being themselves carry us through the 20+ minutes in no time at all. Before I found your YT channel/Patreon, I didn't fully understand the appeal of shipping characters and BL wasn't even in my vocabulary - so I really appreciate your excitement and reactions new characters in shows bring with them, thanks! Even though in Frieren, as you pointed out when starting the series, it's a shipper's nightmare - when I make it to other series you've done like HOB, I'm sure that will be quite a different story, and it puts things in a new light for me too. Having just wrapped up Chainsaw, the introduction to the final episode was epic, loved it. I knew something was going to be said, after finishing up 11, but that it was so elaborate is incredible, props to anyone there for that!

2024-03-31 17:23:30 +0000 UTCLove how Sein's telling his whole life story just so Frieren would save him lol When referring to older woman, Sein says 'Onee-san'...so I think he wants the mommy/older sister type, which Frieren doesn't fit appearance wise xD 'Alt' Woods - 'Old' Woods Sein - (to) be Sein's voice actor is the same as Gojo! I'm looking forward to next week and I wish you a Happy Eastern ^^

About that Berserk sidebar: would that mean there's an alternative timeline where Sein went on to become the new demon king and terrorized the Central Lands after his friend left? Is that why the Central Lands is such a similar name to Midland? Are we actually in the same world? If so, Sein's friend needs to bulk up.
