MXTX makes me simultaneously laugh until it hurts and then want to rip my hair out despite the hurt -- this volume is just getting started and it's already WILD. And I am living for it -- if the obliviousness of our transmigrating peacock doesn't kill me first!

I love it, but it will make you go gray-headed! ooohh, the idea that it’s like the Horcrux cave Harry and Dumbledore went into is a great comparison! SQQ the OSHA inspector! AHAHA – if only he hadn’t died by meat bun choking! 😛 Bug Body Horror = Romania is OUT, y’all! Ah, I recently watched a series on Netflix called “Baby Reindeer” - would not recommend it to just *anyone* because of the extreme content and triggering issues explored, but I enjoyed watching it and plan to bring it up in Berserk, but will also talk about it in a future reaction with what you said here on the discourse surrounding men bringing up their emotions, but that’s a great point! I agree - SQH and SQQ using their experience in the modern world to their advantage is so smart! And YES, Gonyi Xiao not knowing about the little Palace Mistress is a shame, because that would have averted a lot of blame off of LBH! And SQQ gets to be petty! Our “esteemed” peak lord gets to let his delinquent side out while in prison! ;) OH MY GOD - “Breasted Boobily” is….a CHOICE of words! Thank you for the comment and kind words! Brain immediately finished that with "to defeat the Huns" 🤣 Mo Xiang Tong Xiu is amazingly good at making you want to view everyone under a suspicious lens. The design of the cave gives me such Indiana Jones vibes or the cave Voldemort hid one of his Horcruxes in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Shen Qingqiu talking about the liquid in the lake and how it was "obviously illegal" honestly made me imagine him as an inspector going around business sites and writing them up for not being up to code 😆 It's definitely not the typical mindset of someone who has just been taken prisoner by another sect. The bug body horror definitely gives me the ick too 😬 I love that with the multiple choice options the System gives you immediately thought of a choose-your-own-adventure game, whereas Shen Qingqiu thought of a dating sim 😂 And then the System's scenario pusher involves stripping Shen Qingqiu 🤣 For me Shen Qingqiu feeling unable to choose Option A (even though that *is* how he feels and has felt all along) could be Mo Xiang Tong Xiu making some social commentary on how society is not as encouraging to young men to talk about their feelings as it is towards women. The discourse is changing slowly but there is still some stigma attached (in certain parts of the world more than others) to a man being so openly honest about their feelings. I truly love that Shang Qinghua's idea of a "secret letter" is one written in Chinglish 😆 It's honestly such a smart choice on Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's part to use this as being a kind of secret language between the two. I feel for Gongyi Xiao's opinion of Luo Binghe 🥺 He's likely unaware of the the little Palace Mistress having paid Shen Qingqiu a visit as well and so all the blame for Shen Qingqiu's state of undress lands firmly at Luo Binghe's feet. But yes, I do agree that Shen Qingqiu's current state of being can all be linked back to Luo Binghe. Shen Qingqiu letting his petty side out with specifically choosing the pock-marked disciple 😆💕 Your comments about male authors from the West not knowing how to write women did make me think of a few compilation videos I've seen with some published works. Main one coming to mind is "She breasted boobily down the stairs" 🤦🏻♀️

What you said at the beginning of the discussion, about SQQ having to justify himself to LBH whenever he has to interact with another male character if they eventually become a couple, made me think of this meme: SQQ: You're the most jealous man I know. LBH: You know other men?! And not going to lie, it's rather hilarious seeing you lose it everytime SQQ or LBH misinterprets something the other says or does (or doesn't!). I was the exact same, reason why I read this novel in the span of a few days only the first time :') It's my third time now, reading it alongside you, so I'm more prepared but still can't help heavily sighing at times lol

But now, with the addition of the palace mistress, Shen Qingqiu is loved by men and hated by women who are jealous of him. They truly are meant to be. Also, I find it so funny that the dilemma respecting Shang Quinghua is that he is either an evil mastermind or an incompetent idiot 🤣 😂. I feel like Shen Qingqiu would also have that reasoning
