This season finale was PERFECT! Your girl has NO complaints -- this was visually arresting, heartfelt, full-circle, and STILL had plenty to be excited for in Season 2, which I have a lot of hype towards at the moment!
Rei may be moving into uncharted waters, but with his introspection into his past as well as a better grip on his present, I'm excited to see what the future holds for him!

YES, it's SO sad to see Rei believe that people are that way to him -- and how it's hindered his ability to befriend others, which is why Hayashida is such an amazing presence for him right now! And yesssss, Rei's happiness was so sweet in this episode; I'm so glad to see him being in a healthy situation like with the Shogi Science Club! And YES, I would love in Season 2 for Rei to realize he's a good person and enjoy being around him! I cannot wait for the second season, either! Thank you for the comment!

2024-08-03 23:35:06 +0000 UTCHate to see how Rei has been conditioned to feel that people not only ignore him but actively hate him. It feels like since he believed this from a young age he never really learned how to make friends. Love to see Mr. Hayashida take him under his wing and show him you can connect with people doing something you enjoy. It's sad to see Rei apologizing to Noguchi for imposing as if he is a bother but that look on Rei's face when he realizes that Noguchi is excited to play with Rei is just too good. Hopefully in the second season we can see Rei start to realize people hang out with him because they enjoy being around him, can't wait to see where they go from here in season 2.
