Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan: Episode 12 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

*AWKWARD HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

It's the penultimate episode (HOW?!) and Uramichi is making a sudden decision that could shake up the entire friendship with him and his fellow cast -- and Usahara is NOT having it!

As he laments Uramichi's choice, the group reminisces on first meeting him and how that flashback changed the trajectory of their entire future!

Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan: Episode 12 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Comments

Yeah, I’m glad we at least got some backstory between the three of them! But yeah, Uramichi seems SO different, doesn’t he?! It’s such a wild transformation! But also so sad because we see him so anxious and exhausted now but even then, he seems a little detached, but driven by his sense of duty with gymnastics but at the same time it *does* give him peace, like you noted. But I agree 100%, Uramichi was born to work with kids, whether he’s realized it or not! I think it’s also neat that Uramichi didn’t realize he was so popular! But ALSO YES, I agree that this flashback cements Usahara *really* likes Uramichi and has admired him for a while! And yes, he does tend to draw the wrong conclusions a LOT! But at least he cares….but yeah, he’s drawing quite a big conclusion at the end of this episode! I am choosing to cover my ears and NOT acknowledge how old Sayuri-san is! I swear, if the mangaka kills her off in the manga? I WILL RIOT. And yes, I love Kumatani SO MUCH in this series! I just love his layers and how he engages with all these characters so much! Thank you for the comment! It’s crazy we’re almost caught up with the series!

FLASHBACK EPISODE!!!!! I was not expecting to have a flashback episode so late in the season but I'm not complaining, and it actually makes a lot of sense. Uramichi looks SO different, though. I wonder if that is because he was younger, and thus didn't have as many responsibilities and had a more relaxed view of life. Or if it was because he was actively doing gymnastics and that gave him a sense of peace that he is somewhat lacking now. Not that he also didn't seem really sad when talking about how he spent his winter break; or maybe not sad, but forlorn. In any case, it was fascinating to see, because even then, I don't think he looked as happy as he does whenever one of the little kids tells him that they appreciate his work. Uramichi was born to work with kids, I'm convinced of that now. What was fun because of how unexpected it was, was the fact that Uramichi was pretty popular back in his college days. What with being the start of the university and all. Oh, no, Usahara has it bad for Uramichi, I agree XD This flashback just cements that, to be honest. As fun as it was seeing Iketeru and Sayuri-san around my one takeaway from it is that Sayuri-san is pretty old and Iketeru will be *devastated* when she inevitably passes away... I hope she still has many years in her. Usaha has a tendency to missunderstand information, what with him thinking that Uramichi was into some... questionable hobbies because of Neko guy mentioning having seen him buying a doll for his niece. So, I'm also convinced that this has to be a misunderstanding and Uramichi is quitting something else but not his job. Though, Uramichi quitting would be one heck of a way to end the Season. Has Kumatani being cemented as my favortie character? Yes, he has XD His whole character is very fascinating and I love the layers that encompass him.
